While using my pc at home always i am getting a serious problem regarding restarting it automatically. I am facing this problem when ever i was on an important work on pc. To get rid of this issue, on some other's suggestions i altered operating system also. Presently i am using windows xp service pack 2 on my system. I changed windows xp service pack 2 to service pack 3. I found no result by doing this also. I have changed ddr 1 ram too. Still i am not getting why this type of problem is taking place? If anybody have a clear cut solution for this hitch....please help me to resolve this issue.

Is it restarting randomly? Or if you open a program or something.

you may not found something, if you have a software you might get the result. Automatic restarting is between hardware and software which not working well. Maybe virus attack your computer or one of your hardware almost damage. Even though your RAM has been tighten it doesn't mean not error, data is not visible so must testing it with software. Try to find MemTest86 on the internet, download the software and create an boot in USB Flash Disc. Remember if you create in your USB Flash Disc, all your data in Flash Disc will empty. After that, you can test your RAM with Booting from Flash Disc. I hope it help.

Hello
I don't know exactly what problem you are facing with your pc. But exactly same thing happen with my old desktop computer. Like you even I tried to format my pc and installing latest operating system. But that didn't work.
So I tried was, I open the CPU door and found that there is lot of dust in it. Now trust me if you having lots of dust too in your CPU than surely it can be one of reason for restarting your pc. Dust is surely big enemy of electric items. So check it first, if you found dust than clean it with air dryer or something. Second thing, just make sure your RAM is fitted well, or to make sure just remove the RAM and fit them well again.
Now try its done. Try to restart your computer.. If problem is related to above thing, then it should be solved. All the best.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and i know u must be tensed for your PC and i think it is advisable not to listen to anyone and straight away contact the shop owner where u got this PC and ask him or her to sort out this issue. I am sure they must be having a technician who would be handling all such issues and if your PC is new then they wont charge u anything and u could get the problem sorted out in no time.
What say?
