I think it's a combination of evolutionary factors as well as societal expectations. Looking back to early man, height was a factor in things such as protection. So women with larger men had a better chance of survival. Though it doesn't work this way anymore, it's still hard wired into our genes. Also, generally, this is what society looks at as the norm. We tend to go along with societal expectations. I think these two factors occur to everyone, but in reality, when actually choosing a partner, many other factors come into play, which is why not all women are with taller men. But it happens more often than would be suggested by chance.

It's because those women really do prefer tall men than short ones. It's the same as some women prefer skinny guys than chubby ones. Or some women find long-haired guys more attractive than short-haired ones. It's all a matter of preference. You yourself even have your own preference of women right?

I don't really look at the height of a man. My hubsband is the same height as me. In the past i have been out with men taller than me, and shorter than me, I went for them for other things that I liked about them, height never came into it. A girl I knew at work once was twice the height of her husband

Hi, that is easy. I like taller man because i think man should be taller than women so he is more dominant that women. I like to look up at my men cause that is what he should be. Most male models are tall. Taller men have more confident and they dont have to project themself to prove their point. Well that is only my point of view. Taller men are more attractive and their clothes seems to look good on them. I know that physical appearance of a person must not be the basis in picking a partner but if a woman is tall and she will wear heels, she wouldn't want to look down on her man. And most women wear heels.

I think some women prefer tall men because the look more attractive to them. they think taller men is more masculine. And there are more benefits too for taller men like reaching some things which is a little higher for women. But I dont think all women think like that. Tom Cruise is short but ladies are crazy over him :)
