It`s sad seeing so many neglect their responsibilities, and jsut let their animals roam, get pregnent. It`s not helping the many hundred cats and kittens in shelters who were from this type of situations. It`s clear the owners of the cat, don`t care for it, so you might as well take it in, and claim it as your own giving it a loving home, and care for the kittens when they come.

Yes Ricki, I will do that.
Hope she will get comfort on my house, so that she will or want to give a birth in here.
Cat only give a birth without hide if they feel comfortable, save and trusted with us.
All of my cat never hide when they give a birth. They even ask me or my mom to make them a place to give a birth when the time come.
Hope she trust me enough.

Please be careful it doesn't have any diseases. I had to catch a stray cat that came by every night because she knew there were 2 cats in my apt. The bldg mgr set a trap which took 3 days to catch her. When she was in the trap I could see she was pretty much beat up and the animal control officer that came to pick her up said he could tell by looking at her that she had a disease or two. I'm just saying...be very careful of stray cats.

Hatley, I agree that kitties are so sweet. As I said below, that the momma cat may not stay. Especially if she is a stray. It is quite possible that she is looking for a good home for her kittens. I do not think that cats normally have a large litter. I recall when a stray pregnant cat had kittens when I was growing up she only had three kittens. Yes, it would be wonderful if she could keep them all together.
I think some of kittens best qualities are their sweet playful nature. You will not find better entertainment than playing with a kitten. I recall when Tigger was a kitten he would do all types of aerial acrobats as he played with his kitty toys flipping in mid air as he tracked the feather. It is a good thing that we tended to play on the bed seeing as it gave him a soft spot to land.
Hopefully, Devilova will keep us posted regarding when the cat has her kittens. I think kittens are normally born in the spring, but I could be mistaken. I am sure with the winter weather that the momma cat is happy to find a warm spot for the night with some good food.

I know about that hatley and aireanna, cause I already saw couple times when my cat gave a birth.
Just for the note that I ever have cats up to 5 generations. All ended cause the last successors all of them are male, even they are 5 kitten.
In the past, my cat never leave her kittens. She always take care of them till 5-7 months.
Believe it or not, all of them want me or my mom to watch her when get a birth.
They never go hide like usually done by a cat.
Don't know with her.

I have no cat right now, so I will keep them.
If and only if she give a birth at my house.
I hope she will.
In the past, my cat sometime bring her kittens to my bed next to me without I notice.
When I realize, she and here kittens already next to me.
I just afraid to kill them accidently.

I have cats around the house but I take none. They are dirty and poo at will. If they were clean, I would take one or two.

They dirty cause they are homeless and didn't have someone who clean them up.
I remember a son of my third generations cat.
He is so calm when I take a bath at him. Yes, he is afraid but he isn't running.
He always dirty when he get home, specially when raining season.
His body full with flood, some of it get dry. He get tortured with that and have to clean it up with his tongue.
That's the time for me to take him a bath.

Devilova, that is kind of you. There is a chance that you will end up more with the kittens than the mother staying. When we were growing up and it was about the time that my mother was pregnant with my baby brother. We had a pregnant cat show up. My mother did not want us to keep it. Well, the cat ended up having kittens at our next door neighbor's house. I would say by the time that the kittens no longer needed milking the mother cat disappeared. From the litter of three kittens, the next door neighbor kept the female white cat which we had named Coconut. The two boy kittens we tended to adopt. Blackie became the family cat. I will not call him a kitten as he grew to be a huge cate probably weighing close to 20 lbs. Smokey stuck around for awhile but he was really shy and not big on dealing with kids. He ended up finding another home. We had Blackie for a very long time, and eventually even our mother who was not super big on liking cats ended really liking him too. I have to say Blackie was a good sport as the family cat he had to put up with 4 kids. He even did not mind when my baby brother would climb into his kitty bed with him or once my baby brother start walking he would pick up Blackie and carry him with Blackie's back paws dragging on the floor because he was such a big cat.

Back in 1990, a female cat come to my house and I keep her. I was around 5 years at that time.
Then she get pregnant, but when she want having a birth. Not like other cats, she doesn't go hide. But she like told to my mom that she want to having a birth and she need a place.
So my mom find a box of carton, then she place her onto it. Look like she get comfort in there, so we leave her.
But she following us, she want us to keep stay to give her a spirit. So we stay and watch how she make her first birth. Then we leave her to finish it, and there are 3 kittens.
She is the 1st generation, and from her I get up to 5 generation till 2007.
The last generations are 5 males, and could give successors.
I never took a new cat since then.
