OMG I forget my passwords all the time..

Do you write down your passwords somewhere? I feel like I have a different username and a different password for each site that I am on, whether it is online banking, myLot, my e-mail or any of the other many things I do online every day. I tried logging into one of my credit card online accounts with my e-mail password, and realized that, nope, that wasn't what my password was for that site! I need to write it down, but I never do. Instead, I go through all of the "forgot username" and "forgot password" prompts almost each and every time I go to these credit card sites, and sometimes it requires me to call customer service, which is another pain in the rear... I need to write them all down somewhere, some day. But that seems like a security issue, doesn't it? What if I wrote it down on a piece of paper, put it in my wallet and then my wallet gets stolen? Not that a burglar would want access to several of my overdrafted accounts, but still...You never know! How do you REMEMBER all of your different passwords? Are you like me -- forgetting them all the time?

I used to go through all these 'forgetting' all the time. I used to go through the forgot-password too. But recently, I've put all of my passwords on my phone. I downloaded an app which is designed to keep usernames and passwords. I know it could be dangerous if ever I lost my phone, but there's a password to get to the app (I just have to always remember this 1 password), and I put them in cryptic words just to be safe.

I always forget my passwords, or usernames, then sit there scratching my head trying to remember. I usually write it down, but either throw the paper out, or loose it. Just hte other day I had to log into my work pay stub, and it took me an hour to get in. I forgot my password, so I had to go through to change it, then I couldn`t remember my username (as you just needed your email for the password recovery). If I use it often then I will remember it, but never fails when I change it then I try to put in the old password.

I write some of them in my calender and some of them I only keep in my head (netbanking, paypal and few others that I don't want to write down in case I lose my calendar) In the beginning I didn't write any passwords down and I always forgot them especially when I didn't use the sites often. Then I tried different passwords that I had used in the past and sometimes I was lucky and got access to my account but most of the time I had to use the "forgot password" option. Today I write many of them down. I don't write the actual name of the site I just write my own homemade abbreviations that other people (hopefully) don't understand if someone steals my bag and my calendar.

Hello there maezee. Like you, I do have different passwords and different usernames to different sites that I join. It is not intentional. Sometimes, other sites don't accept signs like underscore (_) or asterisk (*) as username. Some sites require passworeds to have numbers like that. I keep on forgetting my passwords too! I write it down but honestly, that notebook was lost. So I can't log in to my sites unless they email me. MyLot, yahoo and facebook is the only site that I remember my password. So I can't log in yet to my other sites. I know I could ask for password recovery but I am just too lazy to do it now. Happy Holidays!

We as for me,I will save all my account number and password in my private e-mail inbox, then when I forget the password I can open that e-mail inbox and find it out,and of course the password of this e-mail you should engrave in your mind.

Your patience has to be admired. I do write all usernames and paswords on a piece of paper but the main problem is that that piece of paper gets lost every time so i have to create new accounts but for my lot i have saved the user name and pasword on my cell phone because i cannot afford to start it all over again. I cannot waste my all hard work that i have done. I advise you to do the same. Use your cell phone and save it like a contact number.

sure I write them in my agenda book cos i have disease like you: easy to forget..lol.. yeah, we know that we have some (or many) accounts we engage everyday and they need password to log in. we have Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, Mylot, AyuWage, hotmail, gmail, yahoo..OMG..!! lol..actually it is not too difficult to memorize passwords but cos we deal with many tasks everyday, it is hard to do it. so I wrote them in my agenda book so i can check on it if i forget one or two. it is one tip, i have another tip fr you so you wont forget your password anymore: just create same password for all of your accounts. it will ease you to memorize them cos you only have ONE password. it works on me. lol.Ups, is it dangerous telling about this in public area..??!

Your reasons are the same as mine why I don't write my password in a piece of paper and keep it to something that I use often. I also have the same problem as yours but I have solved it. WHat I do is to keep the same password in every site that I join or similar and I use a password that has a great significance in me that other people don't know.

Wow,I admire your patience and the way you set different password and username in different forums,if I do like this,I will get mad because I have a bad memory, and it is safe for me to set a same password in different forums.I should say if you are also the forgetful person, you need to write them down in a small notebook which should be put in a safe place or just do as what I do,it is the best way or everytime when you lost your password, you have to waste a lot time on finding it back.
