I finished up the cross-stitch Christmas card I was working on at physio. I finished it up last night at home so I could show it here today. I gave it to an older woman, also a client at physio, who was always asking to see how it was progressing. She's a real character, so I wrote inside "Behave yourself". She got a real kick out of that, gave me hug and kiss on the cheek, then went around showing the card to everybody else there.

That is great! I just wish more people accepted more homemade things so easily. Seems in this day and age that if it isn't store bought then it isn't worth much even if it cost more to make then the store bought stuff. I love crafting..and you made that woman's day when you gave that to her.

I certainly did. She said it was a "keeper". I had no one in mind when I started it, but decided to give it to her because she kept asking to see my progress on it.

What a lovely card, that must have taken a lot of time and patience! It was a very kind gesture for you to give it to a fellow client, probably made her day too, I bet that made you feel good that she was showing it off to everyone. You will be kept busy now as I suspect everyone will want a cross-stitch Christmas card off you now!

I hope not... Don't have time to do another one for this year. Not sure how long it took, as I just worked on it 5 minutes at a time while I was hooked up to the ICS machine.

What a lovely bear ! You are very clever at the cross-stitch. No wonder She felt as if she had found a priceless treasure and thought that she had received the best present on the Christmas days. A merry Christmas to you!

Hello. I wonder why you are at physio? Is it the same at Physical Therapy and Rehab Clinic? I would be proud and delighted too just like the woman if someone will give me that. I like handmade products and it is just so personal when I receive it. Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!

It's nice she appreciated the card you made her. I would love something like this from people. It shows the time and thought you put into it, not just go to the store and buying something.

Well, when you finally move out on your own, send me your address and you might get something in the mail...

I don't trust my mail lady (baha it's me). Will do, my friend mailed me a homemade scrapbooking one, it was so cute. I put it away in a box so when I move out I'll put it out for show during Christmas.

Good for you. I am sure that you brightened up her day. Better than dusting!

You know what I like about westerners gifting nature? They offer personalized gifts. It matters. It shows you spent a lot of time stitching it neatly. It shows that you spared your time for the person, and took a lot of care while stitching that. In contrast, buying something from the market, seems so heartless, and almost like an attempt to show off - look I spent this much on you. Nice lady though. Out here, the gift would immediately find its way to the dustbin. BTW...the design is very good.

Thank you, but I didn't design this one. It was a kit.
