That Sales Lady thought she fooled me!

So, a while ago I was in my quest for Christmas sale and on my quest for Christmas gifts. I had a lot of list in mind and had to jump from one shop to another to look for good gifts for the holidays.
On my first haul I went to a famous mall here in my place. I was searching for earphones for my Brother’s Christmas gift since he was looking for new earphones I decided to buy him one as my Christmas gift.
After I was done at the mall I went to some little boutique shops that were lining up my city’s streets… I was looking for a good piece of footwear for my Sister because she’s a shoeholic I decided to give her a cute espadrille like flats. After I had chosen the flats I was looking at the Male section and look for a pair of Sandals for my Father, I decided to buy him Sandals since he likes to go out often so, a Sandal is much reliable because he does not need to tie up a shoe or so, just to go out…
After deciding my Gifts, I buy myself a pair of Loafers, since I Loafers are so hip this season and one can pull off a good look with loafers not to mention their classy ensemble.
So, after putting everything in order I went to the counter/cashier and pay my haul (I don’t want to mention how much I had cost LOL ) any who, after paying, The Sales Lady handed me the shopping bag and greeted me “Thank you for Shopping blah blah blah…”
Since I was overwhelmed with what I had shopped I didn’t mind my bills luckily my instincts triggered me to look for my pocket and count my change if they were correct, so I recounted and figured that She(Sales Lady) gave me the wrong bills. Glad that I was still on the boutique while I was checking my money… I asked her how much was the price of the shoe and she cooperated. I told her that why is it that I paid a big amount for the shoe and yet it’s priced cheaper. She checked again the transaction (from my receipt) and she missed out the calculations… She apologizes for the inconvenience and gives me my real change.
Lessoned learned: Always count your bills before you get caught overwhelmed by what you are buying…
Happy Holidays!

People really need to be careful this time of year. There are people who are dishonest and will take advantage where ever they can. Who is to say if this lady just made a honest mistake or if she was going to pocket the difference on this. You have to be careful in this sort of thing and also in how you hold your hand bag or where you secure your wallet on your body. There are people who will brush up against you in a crowd and take your belongings. And people who will take your parcels too. Or even break into your car to steal them. Be careful and always aware of your surroundings.

Thanks for your concern, however i don't see her with an intent of taking advantage in time of this season, and i think it was really an honest mistake. but anyhow, yes you are very right... we need to take cautious measures in at times.
Thanks for your response.

That really happens. It is either the sales lady was just too careless or is so tired with all the shoppers pouring in the shops for their Holiday shopping. Good thing you remembered counting your change.

In that incident, probably she was tired since there were a lot of people on the boutique buying and buzzing around to find good holiday sale. But good thing i got it solved on time.

this is very much the truth. especially since this is the shopping season, it is always better to check your change before you leave the store. I have experienced this once and good thing, the cashier gave me the correct amount.

Hi heaytheblogger,
Thank you for this.I think this one is a reminder for me because I am too trusting when it comes to money because whenever I am in malls, public transportation, etc I trust drivers/cashiers to always have correct change and I do not count my change. Thanks again for sharing this:) Happy Holidays too!

Hello, thanks for your response. Well most probably she just made a mistake over punching the items... because during that time the boutique was packed with a lot of people buying christmas sale items so, she mistakenly punched the wrong price... well, it was not that of a hassle to complain since it was just a little glitch and she did apologize for her mistake after all, it's christmas season, we should be good hehe
Happy Holidays!

es always check your receipts before leaving the store. I learned this at the pharmacy in R ite aide.i looked and it was too much then I nticed I had the wrong bag. I hurried back to the pharmacy as an irate customer yelled "I got the wrong medications Im not Mrs Hatley' and looked at him, ' then you are the owner of this bag mr. Tayloe?
so we handed our wrong bags to the pharmacist and he had to correct the sales and give each of us the right amount of money back. so I was glad I had not left the store.

Very true, we all commit mistakes and we are not perfect... so the best that we can do is to check whether we have it right or not.
Thanks for your response.

Hi heay!
It is really a must that we count our change before leaving the counter. Sometimes, because of working for long time, our sales attendants are also tired and there are times that they overlooked these matters. Whether they may have intentionally do things or not, we should always make it a point to count our change.
Have a nice day!
