Another black dress for my collection

I believe that having a great black dress is one of the best things a woman can do in terms of her wardrobe. It is the versatile go-to piece that works for just about any occasion when one needs to be dressed nicely.
So, today, I was rather happy to find another nice black dress in a local thrift shop. It is long with spaghetti straps. It is slightly sexy, but it covers everything that needs to be covered and--when paired with the right wrap--can look quite proper while still looking elegant. Best of all, the price was fantastic.
With this newest dress, that brings my "black dress" section of my (somewhat large) wardrobe up to... I believe it stands at about seven or eight now.
Do you make a point of always having go-to pieces such as this on hand? Do you tend to scoop up black dresses as I do when you see them at a great price? Or do you have another go-to color (I know that black isn't seen as an appropriate dress color in all societies) for such pieces?

I also like black dresses. When I was a child black dresses were only worn during morning period of one year. But now, wearing black is smart and elegant specially during parties. I have few black t-shirts and blouses. I like wearing them because the conceal my love handles and other fat areas in my body.

I have quite a few other blacks pieces, too--skirts, pants, t-shirts, blouses, sweaters. However, I also have a lot of other colors, too. When it comes to dresses, though, I find myself migrating more and more toward black.

I do have a lot of black stuff in my closet. I do not know why I am so attracted with it when it seems that the color does not spell out "life" on it, right? But I just feel there are a lot of cuts and styles in black that I could just not just let it pass. I would wear something with other colors, although I would not really want to be that noticeable.

I like the head-to-toe black look. However, I usually don't go that route except for formal wear; instead, for every day, I usually end up adding some additional colors. I do think, though, that I should put together a great all-black outfit that looks like I just stepped out of some Hollywood movie. Now, that would be fun.

I think that the most elegant outfit for an event is black dress in red stilletos!

I don't care about the slenderizing effect, but I do love the versatility of it. It can cover a wide variety of situations, and it allows you to look pulled together without much effort.

My view is a bit different from others.Though black dresses are more attractive l don't like my girl friend to wear black.Believe it or not ,in some religion perticularly in hindu black colour is considered as a symbol of darkness.During some occasion like marriage they will not accept black colour gifts.Though I never belive on this kind of superstition,l simply do not like black colour dresses.

I know that there are some cultures where black is not really considered an appropriate color for attire. In the U.S., however, one of the classic pieces for women is the "little black dress."

This post almost feels like it was written by someone else. I can't remember the last time that I wore a little black dress (or a long one such as I was writing about here). It has probably been several years now; it certainly was even a while before the pandemic had set in.

I just ordered the perfect black dress from Macy's. I'll post a link here because I'm using my iPhone and can't post a photo.

I love the dress. I could see pairing it with a short multi-strand necklace--perhaps a choker necklace.

I have lots of black clothes, black clothes are nice to have because I can pair them with any colors I want but sometimes I think that I should but another color. I'm slim so black is not a proper color for me.

Even though some people wear black for its slimming effect, black is a perfectly fine color for thin people as well.
