We had our Christmas party last Wednesday night. The foods was overflowing and so with the drinks. We were each also given a basket of groceries. The games were enjoyable and have prizes for everyone who participated but of course for the winners, bigger prizes.
And the raffle draw was the most enjoyed part. Everybody got a nice raffle prize.
And when dismissal comes, you can see everybody’s hands filled with boxes and baskets to bring home.
Everyone was smiling and laughing as we get inside the car that will bring us to our houses!

Good for you. Christmas is about sharing. Good for you that your company is generous enough to give such kinds of things. Many companies usually conduct Christmas parties for the employees to enjoy. However, their are other employees who are not happy receiving in kind gifts. They want cash. Employers should know first what the employees need before giving anything. It would be useless for the company to give perks if employees are not happy. I would like then to appreciate your company for pleasing all their employees.

Well, i have heard some who said that cash should have been given instead. But HR said if it's cash, it will look lesser, unlike the groceries which were given.
That's better than none was given to us.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well as u had mentioned in your earlier discussion that u had a great party at your office and that every one had gifts in their hands and the winners took away even bigger gifts which is great. I mean this was a good way of spreading happiness and joy at place like office where such parties are generally restricted. Now since Christmas is on the head this was a good way of celebrating and welcoming it. I hope u all enjoyed and had a great time at the party.
What say?

Actually my friend, parties are note restricted in companies. It is usually given by the company as their incentive to employees.
Such as the Christmas party, it's a yearly activity that is being given by the company for their employees. However, in other companies, it is s sharing of some amounts by employees, because it is initiated by them.
As to the raffle prizes, they are solicited from our contractors and suppliers. For the groceries and games' prizes, they are from the management.
