Yes! Eggplants can be a treatment to insomnia. Intakes of Vitamin C can help too.
I wonder what caused her to be insomniac? Sometimes it's because the lack of exposure to sunlight. Maybe she has to go out from their house sometimes.

My sister is so much like her. She looks like a zombie. I mean, with no sun at all for years, and no sleep. Lol.
That's a very good idea! You're a good friend. Stay that way!

I have not heard about it. It is really interesting to know
that eating eggplant can help insomnia patient. No harm to
give a try for those who have problem to sleep. Sleepless
night can be very bad for health. If they can find natural
remedy by eating eggplant it would be better than taking
medicines.

I didn't know about that! That's great, I have little insomnia from time to time so I'll eat more eggplants for sure, I even think the best eggplants recipes are vegan anyways so it's going to be a lot of fun. Just recently I find out how baking the eggplant can give this taste for the food so I'm really looking foward to it then, thanks!

I don't know about eggplants and their relationship to sleep but your friend can minimize insomnia by avoiding drinks with caffeine like coffee or sodas. Exercising regularly would also be of big help and drinking a glass of milk before bedtime is another sleep inducer.

Hi zearah,
Eggplant is one of the most harmless vegetables in the Solanaceae family. They can be eaten by babies at 4 or 5 months, so I don't think it can be very efficient against insomnia. But you can prepare an eggplant dish to your friend, tell him that it is good for insomnia... and see if the placebo effect works on him. Anyways an eggplant caviar is delicious.

Does your friend really has a short night rest or is your friend thinking this is the fact? Also.. the more you complain and are busy with the fact you are NOT able to sleep the less you will sleep. Your friend should better focus more on the own life style. Plenty of relaxing time the whole day on, on doing active or brain stimulating activities 1-2 hours before bedtime (like watching tv, computer, etc), sitting in the dark will help too. No heavy meals (the digestion of them about 7-8 hours later will give you a bad night rest as well).
About the plant I don't know.. but even if it doesn't help, the believe in might work as well also. Which counts or?
