Problem - The Search Bar

I am finding it impossible to find anything! I will give you an example. I wanted to begin a discussion on giving birth, birthing pools, interesting places to give birth etc, so I looked up "birth" in the search box and got about 30 pages of discussions, mostly all different individuals posting "When is your birthday? Mine is ....." See? The search bar is intended to be for either finding things or seeing if someone has already started the discussion you were thinking of so you can reply to the existing one but it´s too full with garbage!! I don´t want to put Pepsi or Favourite Colour or Hi in the search bar in case I crash the system!
