When Will This End?!

The madness is out of control. Mankind is out of control.
You have to wonder what the hell is going on with the world today. From rampant shootings, political bickering, a shoddy economy, people want to run away screaming from the madness. I'm a personal believer of goodness in everyone, no matter what their background, what color, creed, religion, or whatever is their makeup. Now its to the point where we are living in a world where we hide and look over our shoulder. This is a crazy time we live in and it has to stop. We have to love one another and come together.
Ever since coming to this site, I've been picking and starting battles for no reason other than my own personal agendas. That doesn't matter now. I am who I am and everyone is who they are. I promised my passion will not get in the way to cloud my judgments and that's exactly what they've been doing. If this must stop, I must stop with it. I won't begrudge anyone for their personal beliefs, no matter what they are. I won't pick fights or be selfish anymore. I want to live life and be happy. But will the hating and fighting end?

Hello Bluebell. I agree that to some degree it seems that mankind is out of control as so many bad and evil things have happened like shooting, killing, taking dopes and so on. I am wondering what could be the major reasons that caused this to happen and why some people cannot try their best to live peacefully and harmoniously. It is a serious issue for us humans to think about. I am a peace-loving person and wish everyone to well enjoy their life to the full without any fighting and hating. Thanks for the discussion. I don't think it's being selfish to give your opinion and there's nothing wrong with disagreeing with others as long as it's done respectfully. I know that's sadly lacking here sometimes but I hope you don't get discouraged and give up on the site. I NEED you here, you're one of the VERY few who doesn't totally disagree with everything I post!
I really haven't thought of you as picking or starting battles, by the way. I might not have read every single thing you've posted but I've had no problem with what I've seen. You're outspoken some of the time but you're certainly not the only one and I haven't seen you insult anyone.
I couldn't agree more that the hating and fighting must end! It's a shame but if we can't get along on a site like this, how can we expect the rest of the world to do so? What I've found the most frustrating is how whenever I say something critical of a politician others here support, some of those supporters seem to take it personally as if I've insulted them. I mean, if I say - and I HAVE many times - that I don't like someone like Romney or Paul Ryan or Allen West or Sarah Palin and go on to say what I don't like about them or what I disagree with it's as if I've gone out of my way to offend someone here. So I think Sarah Palin is dumb as a rock...did that come across like I said those who like here are also dumb...lol? That's not how I meant it anyway! When I say Paul Ryan is a big fat liar I'm not saying everyone who voted for Romney/Ryan are liars. I may not understand how they could have done so, but I won't insult or disrespect them for it. Gee, wouldn't it be nice if I were give that same treatment...lol?

Oh, I'm not going anywhere! I need you too, Annie! Finally, there are some of us here that actually agree when it comes to politics and yes, I agree with a lot of stuff you say because we're pals! (To others we're dumb liberals that rely on rhetoric instead of facts.) 
Yes, it's a lot of mean nasty things said by some when it comes to talking politics. I stand by my beliefs and I'm not going to belittle someone just because they think otherwise, regardless of what they believe. And when we voice our opinion, we're rude, ignorant, hateful, etc. Yes, Sarah Palin is dumber than a bag of rocks. Yes, Romney/Ryan we're sent packing and I laughed my butt off when they lost, but that's what we feel! We can feel that way! It's good to have someone I can totally relate to.
