I was on the way going to the lab as usual in this morning. When i passed through a building of electrical engineering, 1 man made a sign to call me. I thought this man may ask something then I went to him. He spake Korean...blah blah because my korean is poor and then i could get only "coffee" word in Korean. I was thinking, maybe this man wanted to drink coffee but he has no money, then i said, ok i will buy coffee for you and then i went to a coffee machine near there. When i wanna put money to buy coffee, he said, anio, it means no no, and then he put money to buy coffee and then he gave it to me.
Oh, this man wanted to invite me a coffee...we had a nice talk...but i could not understand all what he said since his english is poor...what i caught from his talk...i look so beautiful, where am i come from? am i student of PNU?...
.... after drinking coffee i said thank and goodbye to him...
This is not the first time i received a cup of coffee from strange people. I remember 2 years ago, when i was standing in the subway station, near a coffee machine, and then 1 man bought coffee and then he gave it to me with a big smile....

Ryaaaaaaannnnnnnn....Im going to start an apprenticeship job on January, I've been busy preparing for my job and also writing my thesis, I miss you so much...so come and let's drink a cup of coffee. I have some coupons to get free drink and snack in a cafe. We can order mochaccino and have a nice chit chat. What your news?
In here we must be careful when a stranger offer a free drink or snack because the drink might contains sleeping powder or something like this. we have so many cases where somebody were robbed after drank free drink from a stranger. It's great that people in Korea are friendly, but when you visit my country please be careful.

Finally i can see your message now. I miss you too....
Yeah, i know...even in vietnam, i never drink coffee from strange people but in here, i stand near by that coffee machine and i will get out that cup of coffee then it is ok, i mean if they are bad people, they have no chance to do with that cup of coffee also.
One more, coffee machine inside my campus, then it is safer than outside of the campus.
yeah, i should be careful if i travel to any country in asian area...but in korea, i lived in here for long then i know Korea also.
You got a job, that's great when you completed your thesis also. I am happy for you. I haven't defended my thesis yet, i am writing one more paper and i will try to complete all in January.
I don't have much time but i will try..even thought some days recently i feel a bit tired..i guess i work too much for more than 1 month, from morning till midnight over whole week, then it is like that. I hope this tiring will be gone soon.

I havent finished the thesis, but I do wish to complete it before July 2013 so I can move from apprenticeship job to fulltime work and get a full salary . It's going to be a hard year but we can do it.
You are right, getting free coffee from coffee machine is safer than outside campus. Yesterday I watched a video about Vietnam on television, the city looks beautiful but crowded so many people riding motorcycle.
What's your plan for next year? Where are you going to visit? Im going to save at least $10/day from my craft business so I can have a nice vacation next year.

Ohh this is really good. This also shows you are beautiful so people wanted to have coffee with you . The man was really sweet (atleast it sounds like that) So is it common there to invite people to coffee if they find them interesting? I mean i really don't know . Because we may be afraid to go if some unknown people invite us for a coffee. If that's the following there then i will appreciate it. By the way what is PNU?

PNU is Pusan national university, it is my univ.
To invite to drink coffee...is just bought coffee from coffee machine and stand in there to drink and have a talk..it is a style in korea when friends invite each other to drink coffee. People can go to the coffee shop also.
Seriously i don't know...why they gave me coffee, maybe they want to have a talk with me, but unfortunately my korean is poor..hihihi

Hmm that's really interesting one in Korea. I like it. We don't have any such thing here. You are quiet lucky
