I respect my dog and I expect the help to do the same

When my dogs are asleep, I see to it that I don't disturb them. When they are blocking the way and I want to pass, I do it gently and not just shoo them. One time I caught the helper who only comes once in a while, shooing one of my dogs. I gave her a mouthful. Nobody is treating my pet dogs like animals because for me they are members of the family and should be treated with respect. When they are on the way and you want to pass, you can do so gently without kicking them or shouting at them. Be nice to them for they too have feelings. What do you think? Some people think animals do not have feelings because they are just animals. How come they cry when they are physically hurt? Isn't that a manifestation of feelings?

So many times I have been tempted to wake our cat up when she is sleeping peacefully on my mums bed. The amount of times she meows, and it's not a quiet meow, it's very very vocal, seems she's developed a loud meow at her old age, well sometimes I am woken up early, I am NOT a morning person by her meows! So I think how will she like it when she's asleep that I wake HER up! LOL. Seriously I don't, that would be cruel and heartless and I am not that kind of person. Besides she's old she deserves a little extra respect. Pets are more than animals, they are family.

i agree with you they have feelings like us and also can feel the pain. I often heard people saying animals and birds don't have feelings . That's completely wrong. Its common sense thing all living beings have feelings. when the botanists even say the plants are also having feeling they can react to music . Why not animals and birds.

One teacher actually argued with her students about this, insisting on her narrow belief that animals don't have feelings.

so sad to know that being a teacher she don't have any knowledge about such simple things.

I am the same as you, my 6 animals are part of the family. I dont appreciate people coming into my house and treating my animals poorly. Many sadly dont see their animals as part of the family but simple an animal.

They know how we feel about them. Just look at their eyes.
