like your stool/feces that comes out is just pure liquid? I know it's a a disgusting question, but i had it a few days ago and i went to the bathroom more than 10 times.. it was a bit painful, my stomach was rumbling then liquid feces came out. I also lost my appetite and felt like i was going to vomit, it lasted about 10-12 hours.. Had anyone had the same expperience before?

Totally gross, isn't it? I have irritable bowel syndrome - or IBS - and mine usually shows up as diarrhea. Though I rarely have it last as long as yours did, when it hits, I'm usually in the bathroom an hour or more. Unfortunately, I have problems a two or three times a week right now. Almost always right after I've eaten. Hit me twice tonight. Once while I was eating a salad and once afterward. When it hits me, I'm usually lucky if I have two minutes to get to a bathroom. Once I feel the rumbling, I need to find a bathroom QUICKLY.

That is quite awful, always going to the bathroom, and 3 times a week too. I rarely experience diarrhea and this is the first time i had liquid diarrhea.. and i hope it is the last too. Yeah, i can relate to that feeling, good thing i have my own bathroom and it's near to the living room where i usually stay.

I've had this now 20 years so I've learned to deal with it a little. Don't have it as bad as my aunt who literally is afraid to leave her house! I've just learned to stay in a restaurant (or inside my house) at least 30 minutes after I've finished eating. I'm usually safe then. One good thing - it's taught me not to eat as much because that just makes it worse. Fried chicken is another thing that is almost guaranteed to bring on an attack.

Well, first off--Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a virus. When I drink stimulants like coffee or caffiene I get this same thing. It sounds like you had a 24 hour virus. It is important this time of year to be sure we are washing our hands and not passing germs. We can carry the germs and may not have gotten sick yet.

I am sure that it does. Everything has a name.

Yeah, the hands are quite the carrier of germs.. i do wash them before i eat anything, just to be safe.. But maybe it isn't enough since i got diarrhea. Maybe it was also something i drank, it was herbal..

is it normal? i haven't had it for quite some time now... but if it happened quite a lot, maybe one should go to the doctor to know how to avoid it

I have experienced the same last year. I was admitted in the hospital and stayed for days. It was the only time that I was hospitalized except for those times that I gave birth to my kids. Even if I was out of the hospital, I was still feeling weak and had difficulty in breathing. My pulse has weakened as well. Are you feeling better now? Coz if not, you should be going to the hospital. If you would not be given dextrose to replace all your lost fluids, you could faint and would be in serious trouble.

Yes, i am definitely feeling better now, the feeling and diarrhea lasted for about 3 days before it was finally gone. Fortunately i was not hospitalized, but i did feel quite weak since i only ate so little for a day.. I did drink lots of water too since my parents told me to. And i felt my lips were quite dry..

That's good to know. I hope you had electrolytes together with the water that you could replenish what was lost through diarrhea.

Seeing as I have colitis, I deal with this on a regular basis. It can really put you in a bad mood, wondering when will be the next time you run to the bathroom. It could be a virus going through, and you have to wait out. If you have it straight over a week time, and it doesnt go away I would go to the doctors.

I only had it for a day, then one day break, then the last of it after that day.. so 3 days.. i was really praying for it to go away since i really hate going to the hospital and for that kind of problem too.

Have you tried over the counter medications?. I know some do help a little so you can still go on with your day.

Hello lady1993, I think we all have that kind of experience. You better take Loperamide. Ask for it in the pharmacy. -Daniel

My son has this occasionally and he found a product which takes it away, a generic version of immodium, and it works quickly from what I hear but he has to sometimes take a second dose.

This is the very first time i had experienced this... and i hope it is the last.. I also took some medicine.. it seems that is the name too, but it also has loperamide or something.. (medicine generic/specific name are quite confusing) it's called diatabs.. I had to take it twice.

I just experienced this myself on Thursday, and had no warning. It just happened and I felt miserable and ended up having to force myself to eat something because I am diabetic, and ended up wanting to sleep most of the time I was feeling like this. I then ended up quite hungry but still could not eat that much.

I hope you are feeling well now.. Did you know the cause? There must be something we have taken that made us like this.. I still can't figure out the food/drink to avoid. I never felt hungry during that period though.. really weird since i eat almost 5 small meals a day.

Oh, yes. This is a terrible feeling, but it is your body getting rid of something bad. Can be virus, but often is food poisoning. Best to let your tummy rest, eat only liquid for a day and then slowly return to normal. Maybe be more careful of what you eat and if for any reason it doesn't smell or look quite right don't eat it. Blessing, and thank your body for the wonderful thing it is.

Yeah, at least it is getting rid of the bad stuff that was inside of me.. But it would've been nice if it got rid of it at one go.. not 10 times. I did not feel like eating at all that day.. not even drinking, but i forced myself or else i'd get dehydrated, which would be another huge problem..

I definitely think that you are not alone on this one, it is something that I've been through as well and I'm pretty sure that almost everyone among us has been through this at some point during their lives. I tend to have this happen to me when I am going through a stomach virus of some sort and I know how uncomfortable that it can me. That said, when I know that my stomach is upset like that, I always make sure to drink plenty of fluids because diarrhea can cause you to get very dehydrated.

I never thought a lot of people would even respond to my discussion since i didn't think many people had experienced this type of diarrhea.. neither my mom nor my dad ever experienced this, which is why they were very worried.

I had experienced it beofre and I think I am experiencing ti now. I don't tihnk it is a virus in my case, as it is perhaps a body reaction at all. However, I am trying to get well enough for travel since we'll be going on a trip. Also, mine is kinda mild case compared to yours.

I hope you get well soon, it is not a nice experience or feeling at all, mild or not.. since it is hard to control it and you don't really know when you'll have it. I even had to go to a place quite far from our house when i still kind of had diarrhea.. fortunately it didn't go out.

I just had it last night and it's so gross but it's okay. I had it 3 times a day because I was drinking some kind of a slimming tea here lol. I can't keep myself from going to the toilet and it relieves me after that, but i haven't tried it 10 times a day that's not good you will become dehydrated wit that. You should consult your doctor and ask for his advice and treatment.

Yeah, going t the toilet definitely relieved me, but then the feeling comes back again and again.. I have never drank slimming tea, but i did drink some herbal stuff, a whole mug of it, to help me with my flu.. and it did work but then i got diarrhea.. maybe it is just coincidence.

Yeah, I have and it's totally not a nice feeling. Diarrhea can be cured only by continuing as normal feeding and drink / liquid with enough minerals and nutrients. The important thing is to prevent and resolve diarrhea symptoms are to provide enough liquid. Remember to maintain the cleanliness of the food we eat or drink. Also the cleanliness of dining furniture also to avoid foods which induce allergy and causes diarrhea, like for me , it's milk.

I didn't think diarrhea could be cured like that, what i did is i just took some medicine for diarrhea called diatabs(it's loperamide or immodium)... I rarely ate at that time and i had trouble finishing my food since i didn't feel hungry. I know some people who can't tolerate milk either, but i love it. I sometimes drink it 2 or 3 times a day.

I am sure we have all experienced this one time or another. Everyone might not admit it but it's something that is natural in the body. Sounds like you had a touch of either food poisoning or a virus. I do hope that you feel better as of now.

I had a virus last year and I had to go to the hospital with dehydratation. It lasted around 5 dyas, but it took me another 5 to get on my feet. It was the same virus that one of my grandchildren got, but I was on chemo then and my defenses weren`t good.

Yeah, and it hurt a bit too.. My stomach really felt like it was twisting and stuff. Fortunately we didn't get to that point, going to the doctor. Although my parents have mentioned it many time, i was quite stubborn..
