I find that sushi rolls fill me up quick and I stay full for a long time. They are health and balanced. If i don't have time to sit and eat I will grab a smoothie or starbucks frappachino.

Sorry! How about a wrap? The sandwhiches that are made with the tortilla wraps or flat bread. You can stuff alot of things in there - my fave is turkey, avacado, bean sprouts, lettuce w/ light ranch dressing.

Foods that are high in protein will generally make you feel fuller for a longer period of time because they digest more slowly than carbohydrates. You could try something like cottage cheese or soy crisps as a good snack that is high in protein.

I like the sound of both of those but unfortunately Gran Canaria has never heard of or imported those things! I adore cottage cheese and haven´t tried soy crisps but love soy milk (that is available but rare) and soya products.
I guess some cooked chicken or something kept in the fridge is a good idea. I tend to wait until I am starving then eat junk! It´s a vicious cycle.

That's interesting and good to know. You might be able to order soy crisps online but I'm not sure if they'd deliver there. You could also try sliced cheeses - I love those as a snack, plus they're high in calcium.

Have you checked with a Doctor to make sure there is nothing medically wrong with you? Try to eat regularly through out the day and try to eat slow. It takes the brain time to process that you have eaten and are full. You could have a high metabolism and need to eat more often if especially if you are burning the calories.

I have a handful of unsalted almonds. It has been my salvation.

It sounds like you need to eat something with fat in it. It looks like you had some protein and a bunch of carbs. Try having a few pieces of cheese and see if that helps.

Good advice. They do say a balanced diet is always best (hey - can that mean a donut in each hand?)
