These past few days I've been suffering in such a terrible toothache. So, I decided this morning to pull it out. I went to the dentist and I was really scared because it's my 2nd time to go to him. First time was when I was in high school. It's been a long time since I went to him and get my tooth pulled out. It was very painful at first but when my tooth was out, oh...I feel so relieve...How about you guys, how's your feeling whenever you visit your dentist? ^^
Happy Saturday to all! ^^

Having an aching tooth I think is the most painful experienced one can not endure for a long time. The pain is unbearable as if all parts of our body are in pain. So I guess it can not be saved since your dentist had agreed to extract it. I just hope your are feeling okey now.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and i know it might have pained a lot while uprooting your tooth. Now since your tooth is uprooted i am sure u must be feeling much better than before. Although i have never faced such situation, my mother had undergone such a situation and she said that she had a horrifying moment that time but after that she felt relieved. I hope u are feeling better now, so u can have fun while eating.
What say?

Visiting a dentist seems a scary thing to everybody. To avoid this, at a young age parents should orient their kids about the dentist and the dental clinic. The parents should not use the doctors or the dentists as their scare tactics if the kids don't follow them. The children will have a wrong notion about the health practitioners.

to tell you, i rarely visit my dentist because i am really afraid of seeing those big injections for anesthesia. fortunately, i rarely had any tooth decays. :)

I went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled but the anesthetic didn't take and I felt it when he pulled it out. I haven't liked going to the dentist much since then.

That was a very good story to tell, in my experience. Im only visiting a dentist every time my tooth aches. But as far as i know what a dentist do to your tooth. Its happiness and the joy it brings when your toothache disappear

I dread going to the dentist, always have, I remember not so long ago I had this painful toothache, so I grudgingly went to the dentist to have it checked, he said I had two options, one for root canal filling or extraction. Well I chose extraction. Well it took him over an hour to get this damn tooth out, it was so embedded in my gums and it had two big roots to it. He said sarcastically I should have made you take the root canal! But extraction was a fraction of the price. Eventually he managed to get it out, boy, what an ordeal! I have no regrets, because I have heard so many bad stories about people having root canal fillings done it rather put me off!

No way...I want to keep all my teeth. I did just have to have one pulled though and I am going to have an implant put into its place as soon as the bone is regenerated enough for the implant to take. I cannot imagine life without my teeth and although I take good care of my teeth, we did not have the flouride treatments when we were younger and my teeth decay from the inside out. (according to the dentist) The pain stops pretty quickly after the extraction, that is for sure. However, eating becomes more difficult if you have lost a molar. I hope you can afford to get a bridge or implant so that you can have all 'your' teeth again!

Never gone to dentist so I dont have experience you faced. But now you seems relieved thats the main thing. So finally your painful experience comes to an end and now onwards start taking care of your teeth.

I can really understand your feelings. It happened with me. My tooth was really painig a lot . I was not able to eat. What ever i ate it used to stuck on my teeth . It used to bleed some times as well when i used a tooth pick. Then i finally decided that i will take the help of a dentist. I was really afraid when i was imagining the pain which i might suffer from. But it all ended well. Now i feel realy releive and now i can eat every thing.
