Increase cases of physical assault on women

In terms of nutrition,access to education,social standing,employment opportunity,inheritance right,political representation and almost every field women continue to be actively,often viciously,discriminated against to favor their male counterparts.They continue to be targets of revilement and humiliation in the most bestial of forms,of which physical assault is only one example.Women are subjected to various form of gender assault,gross or subtle throughout their lives.For many its effect is a long term one which end of impairing their capacity of personal relationship altering their behavior and values and generating endless fear.In addition to the trauma the victims also have to suffer the agony during legal proceedings Now question arises, why the cases are increasing particularly in metros where peoples are more educated and social.Is it because of the loss of fear to the judiciary process which seems like doesn't have enough power to punish the accuse or are they chronic in such activities.Should they be hanged ? Should they surgically or chemically castrated so that they can never commit such atrocities again? There are certain question which need to be answered. The cases of assault on women should be fast tracked in special court set up for this purpose.The penalty for such crimes should be made more stringent.The law enforcing authority should be sensitized on how to deal with the victims of such assaults.Better and more vigilant policing of streets and public transport and other practical measures are obviously necessary and must be adopted with immediate effect to stop these kind of crime
