How does every one feel about Disney taking over Star Wars? Personally I think it's a bad idea but i'm also open minded. I just wish they would make the Han Solo story a movie finally, they are really great books and I definitely suggest reading them if you are a Star Wars fan.

I'm waiting for... no, dreading... the impending, inescapable flood of cutesy Jedi cartoons and the musical rewrite of the original saga (complete with new story, Princess Leia in pink, fluffy dresses and "amusing" Ewoks in every scene). If I could have banned any particular company from ever gaining control of the Star Wars franchise, it would have been Disney: they have no clue how to manage non-Disney assets and have very little respect for the existing ethos of companies they acquire, IMHO.

Think of Pirates of the Caribbean (the "Johnny Depp"-ones) ... it'll be like that (whether anyone likes it or not)

I love the idea. I always wanted them to continue the series. I mean they made the three original movies of Darth Wader long after the Luke Skywalker movies. I mean it is STAR WARS. I would love being able to watch a new Star Wars movie.

they're probably going to ruin it.

I like Star Wars and it is a classical science fiction movie. Even if it was filmed many years ago. However, you will not find it very outdated even if you watch it today. So it is so amazing that they could create such a great movie at that time.

Hi sjackr: I understand your concern and when I read these news I though it was really crazy. However let's just wait. Maybe Disney project is not bad and they could help that new generations feel interested about this awesome story.
