Do you ever wonder where members go?

Some members do seem to disappear at times from all sites. I haven't noticed many missing since I have joined though luckily.

I've been a member here for a long time, but I actually just recently started participating again. I guess there was a time period where I was really busy and didn't have my time for Mylot, and after awhile, I just kind of forgot about it! Recently, I realized that I hadn't been to Mylot in forever, so I came back! I didn't have any earnings left, but my account still existed, so I decided to get involved again. I guess the same thing probably happens to others at times.

Sometimes things happen and people just cannot be here. For instance, Hatley was homeless for about nine months and could not be here. I have a friend that disappeared about two years ago, I know she was completely out of work and was needing to move or something. I know some get banned as well, and do not come back.

I sometimes wonder where alot of my friends are. I have 72 friends and hardly any of them post anything only like 5 of them are active on this site. I'm wondering if their really not into the site or are just busy with their lives. I can cope with them on being busy with their life because I am also very busy at times and can't always get on here. I go 2 or 3 days without coming on here and then when I do I have 4 pages of post to go thru which is fine with me. But I been making new friends now so hopefully this will make things easier.

I also wonder where people go, sometimes people come back after a long time away. I try to get here as much as possible and chat. It would be nice if we could find out how these past menbers are doing in there lives. Well I hope and that they are just too busy ot come to mylot

Maybe life got busy and they haven't had time to be on mylot or lost interest in the site.

I thought this the other day when I was going through discussions and found a response from someone I had not talked to in quite some time. I do wonder about them and if they are doing okay. It's odd when they leave so suddenly, especially if they were active and loved the site before.

Some people do seem to just drop off the face of the earth--never to be seen again either on this site or any of the others I frequent. Then, there are others that I have known for years and know across a number of sites. Some I even now have connection to in the offline world as well. The internet has really changed how people connect... and how we disconnect.

I thinks almost all the members must be having their own work to do which must be more important then Mylot. As we all wants to earn money for livelihood we have to work somewhere and that what we all do. But those who are working online full time I am sure they are making the point to visit the sites they join almost daily, and part timer you know as and when they get the time they may or may not log in most of the time depend upon their mood or other problems

Yes I wonder and miss also the old members and feel where they are hidden. Now I remember last year I posted many funny discussions and there lots of funny responses gets. Now 5 to 7 persons are missing. Like HWG, Jyln, life, Sid and many. If they are here then at least active for some time but may their own important work they are not able to join here.

I often wonder what happened to some of the mylotters who were real regulars when I joined a couple of years back and who had been with mylot for some time judging by the number of posts that they had. . Many of them are either gone or now post only seldom or occasionally. It may be that some have gotten very busy with their lives outside of mylot or it may be that some have so much difficulties in their lives that myloit has had to be put on the back burner. I hope that it is the former reason.

I also observed that there were members who were active when I first join mylot who are not active at present. Maybe they will be back anytime from now.

I come and go from MyLot as well. Sometimes I'm a little busy and disappear for a bit but I always come back. I get overwhelmed at times with all the messages as well. I try to keep up but then I find it a chore so I take a break as I like to come here and have fun not to see it as work As for others who knows what is going on in their life. It would be nice if they said goodbye for now so people knew or if there could be a little message box on our profiles to write an update on or something

I thought of this too, for it has 200 thousand members and yet I see only few discuss-ers or authors. I thought, maybe the other members are in the other interest which I don't have. but I have so many interests already, for I add interests most of the time. I am just two months here, so I have never met other members along the way yet. I just see same names. So they are gone?
