Ryota Sakamoto is an unemployed 22-year-old who lives with his mother. In the real world, there may be nothing really special about him, but online, he's one of the world's top players of the combat game called Btooom!. One day, he awakes in what appears to be a tropical island, though he has no memory of how or why he has come to be there. While wandering around, Ryota sees someone and calls out for help. The stranger responds by throwing a bomb at him. Ryota soon realizes both that his life is in danger and that he has somehow been trapped in a real-life version of his favorite game.
I have seen the first nine episodes of this anime and I really like it. I do not like this kind of genre but the story is really good and there is no boring moments. This anime is exciting and is one of the coolest new anime.

i enjoy watching animes and reading mangas and have come across this particular title but have not yet watched as the genre hasn't really excited me yet. i've come across it many times but i haven't been tempted to watch it yet but will be as it all depends on my mood and preference when i want to watch. hearing you talk positively about this makes me rethink. the only thing is, i wonder if there is any slight romance as i enjoy have hints. it makes it fun hehehe glad that you enjoyed it:)

The title to me is not appealing at first. I gave this anime a try and I think I like it. The story is fast and the plot is really good. Yes, there is a love story, slight romance as you quoted. I can recommend this if you like light action and love story. It has some violence though.

i definitely love light action and love in it, in fact, i'd love more recommendations of similar genres and similar to this anime as well. i'm keeping this anime and manga on hold for now though and catching up on the manga that i've been late on reading. but will definitely read this once i'm done with the others. thanks lots for letting me know more about this anime. good day:)

Hi there. There are a lot of animes based on an online game or a video game. Though this one has the same concept like a reality game based from the online game, it is really exciting. I mean, I am tired of watching anime with same story, same character looks. But this one seems different. I am not yet done watching the whole season but for me, this is a good anime. Its hard to find a very interesting anime recently and this one is one of the best I can recommend.

I have only seen the first four episodes, but it does seem different from other game survival anime I have seen. I have been watching other anime about playing game like environments like Accel World and Sword Art Online, but Btooom! is still pretty good.
