I've been reading Clive Cussler novels since earlier this year. And I've become a huge fan. On his website Cussler states that he is more of an entertainer than a writer. And an entertainer he certainly is. Cussler is an adventure writer and his books don't disappoint. They are very hard to put down. His largest series of books, the Dirk Pitt Adventures, is also probably the most well known. All his novels seem to encompass ocean exploration, discovery of sunken vessels, and treasure hunting, with plenty of history thrown in. I'm only on my 4th book. But I've already started collecting his others. My present goal is to read the entire Dirk Pitt series. I started later on in the series and once I finish reading Trojan Odyssey I will start at the beginning and finish the rest of the Dirk Pitt Adventures. If you like adventure novels but have never read any of Clive Cussler's work then you should give one of his books a try.

I love, love , LOVE Clive Cussler! I have read all of the Dirk Pitt books with the exception of "Poseidon's Arrow"...but I just took it out from the library and will be my next read once I am done with "Devil's Gate" also by Cussler! If you haven't read the NUMA Files books yet, I highly recommend them as well. You will find Kurt Austen and Joe Zavala as entertaining as Pitt and Giordano. I have not read any of the Oregon Files books yet, but I do own some that will get read in the future. I just love Cussler's writing and his one liners that make you laugh! Enjoy finishing the series, you will love them all!!!

It will take some time but I will eventually read all his books. I went on a couple of shopping sprees over the holidays to collect all his books and I have all but about six of them now. I bought Poseidon's Arrow from one of my book clubs, and it's in hardcover. The very first Cussler novel I ever read was The Chase, the first book in his Isaac Bell series. But the rest have been Dirk Pitt adventures. And none have disappointed. His books are as entertaining to read as adventure movies in the tradition of Indiana Jones are to watch. Thanks for the response.
