Is religion really helps in avoiding hatredness?

Why there is so much hatredness in our humanity.Does god really permits for such disaster.Why not we have love and forgiveness towards eachother so that this whole universe will not have war and the earth we live in peace.Please comment

Well I guess it helps with moral law and yes the true teachings promots love versus fighting. I am not sure what Islam is reading.

I think religion breeds seperation. Many people they have the 'right' religion, when all they have is the right religion for them, but rather than accepting it, they'd rather cause tension over it.
