I just watched The Hunger Games on the Internet. It was partly what I expected but had a lot of twists and turns that I hadn't expected. All in all, I liked it a lot. It seems to me that they left the possibility of a sequel. I haven't heard anything about one being planned, however. They would have to have the same stars or it just wouldn't go right.

They are already shooting the second movie. Since there are three books there will be at least three movies. But they might split the last book up into two movies like they did with Harry Potter and Twilight.

Thanks for the info. Unless I win some movie tickets, I will probably wait until I can watch the sequels on the web.

The third one, will in fact, be split into two parts. The first part is due in 2014 and the second in 2015.

I have watched this too, i quite enjoyed it because i loved the acting of the lead characters.. Their present world was quite nice. I read a synopsis of the book and was kind of disappointed abut some scenes that didn't make it in the movie. I expected more action too.. I just hope they make up for it in the next movie.

I've read all three books. Catching Fire, the second book, is due to be released as a movie next year in November. They do have all the original stars from the first movie. Go to IMDb.com(Internet Movie Database) and do a search for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and you can see a list of the cast. Jennifer Lawrence is contracted for all three movies. As far as I know, everyone else will be in the third one as well. The third installment in the series, Mockingjay, will be released in two parts with the first one due in 2014 and the second in 2015. Francis Lawrence will direct all three movies. He is a music video director who has also directed two well-known movies: I Am Legend(with Will Smith) and Water For Elephants(with Reese Witherspoon).

Hunger Games is based on a series of books just like Harry Potter so you should expect a second and third movie because from what I know it's a trilogy. I've seen the movie too and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's pretty exciting especially the scenes in the jungle.

I think this movie was based on a novel, it had 3 parts too, so they may be making those 2 other books int movies since the first one was quite successful.. I did not like the movie that much though, since there was not much action, since they were teens in there.. kind of like Survivor teen version.. I am looking forward if they do the next novels since they have more action.

The last thing I've heard there will be a sequel of "Hunger games" for sure, the makers of the movie revealed that shortly after the premiere earlier this year. I watched "Hunger games" and although I think it was weird, the general idea is not that impossible so I liked the movie as a whole and I am curious what the sequel will be like. But still, it's weird to me.

Hunger games is a very good movie. Me and my girlfriend watched it. There is in fact a sequel and will be released next year, 2013 I think. But I'm more interested with the Pacific Rim.
