I'm curious how different peoples celebrate this holiday season. Christians have Christmas, the Jews have Hanukkah, etc. Will you be having friends/family over, or will you be alone, & do you have to work then? I'm planning to watch a Christmas service online from start to finish tonight or tomorrow when I'm not too busy with the kids (nephews/nieces). http://www.tdjakes.org/echurch/
The rest of the time I'll spend reading & pondering on the Christmas story, exchanging gifts, watching Christmas movies, & just taking it easy. How about you?

Well, I spend Christmas eve and Christmas Day at work. My husband had to work both days as well. We exchanged gifts with each other the Sunday before Christmas and then had a nice Turkey dinner a couple of days after Christmas to celebrate. We also attend church the Sunday before Christmas as we feel it is important to remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as well.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Tina.
I can't imagine having to work Christmas Eve & Christmas Day working! I'm glad to hear you & your husband make up for it some other time. Attending church and being with loved ones is the best way to spend Christmas, I agree.

I personally will be celebrating Christmas and I am happy that I will be celebrating it with my son, but a little sad that I won't be able celebrate it with my mother, brothers and the family I grew up with this year, but I will be okay.
I wish every one happy holidays!!!

Welcome to myLot, and thanks for stopping by to comment!
Hope you'll have a great Christmas with your son. I'm sure yours will at least be peaceful, not frenzied. If you have Skype, you can enjoy the holidays with family through it, too.
I've had family over, and it wasn't a great celebration by all means. Maybe next year...
