The end of the world, when it's coming?

Mayans said that end of the world could be 21 December, but that day was wrong as we saw. But what does bible says when the end of world comes?
Matt. 24:3 "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (King James Bible)
Here were the disciples also interested of Jesus becoming and the following verses, he answers their questions.
Other bible passage tell us what kind people are when end of the world is near:
2. Timothy 3:2-5 "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (King James Bible)
But we do not know the exact date. God only knows it.
Matt. 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (King James Bible)
And this world not ends never:
Psalm 104:5 "Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." (King James Bible)

It is a good thing that the earth will stay forever. Only the evil will disappear from the earth. 
The apostles did not expect the world to end - I like the choice of words in Youngs Literal Translation - it is closer to the original text in Matthew 24:3: "3 And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'"
We can see the signs of the end of the age, and we really long for a better age, the Kingdom of Christ.

The Mayans never said this world was gonna end in 2012. Some people who believe in the occult say 12 20,2012 is the day it goes from the Pisces Age to the Aquarius age.
