As we will be moving on 31st night to our son’s home in Hyderabad; I have given the tailor here 6 blouses to stitch; she is the one doing for me for past 30 years; I find the fitting perfect. She charges 60 rupees for stitching one blouse; I buy 1.1 meter cloth @ 140 rupees per meter; [b]thus one blouse cost is 215 rupees approximately. [/b] One can buy ready made blouses at 50 to 150 rupees but fitting is not good at least I think so. The tailor says she has heavy work pressure because of XMAS ; has promised to deliver the blouses on 30th night only. [b]Do you buy ready made stuff or get stitched by some tailor there? Do the tailors stitch and deliver on the ‘date of delivery’? Please share your views and comments on this.[/b] Kalyani 24/12/12

hello kal, i have not had a newly made dress for a long time. i always like to wear casual hence i buy the ready made. but lately i had this birthday gift which is all cloth and i brought it to the dress shop to be made into a dress. it took 5 days i think when i went back to the shop to check and i was disappointed because the cloth was still sitting there where i last saw it. the dressmaker said she cannot make it on time for the christmas because 2 helper dressmakers got sick and there were so many clients lined up before i came. so i got it back and i said i will just look for a new dressmaker. ann

Dear Anny Hope the dress is ready now, during festivals there is much rush and heavy work; I am not surprised.

Every place it is not at your place but here also Tailors (ladies) take more important for them self when any festivals come near. It is good price at your place here I am paying Rupees 150 on an average per blouse stitching charges, cloth (material) charges are separate. I never buy ready made blouse as they does not fit me properly

Aunty the blouse was with aster or without aster here 90Rs. cost for with aster and 60 for without aster and if make some design means goes in 100 120. If the marriage season is running the tailor not gives the blouse early and some time they not get ready when gives the time. I also face this problem. But if we are giving more money then they are ready to give our blouse first.

Surekha, 2 are pure silk, need astar, others 2x2 rubiya; stitching rate in good tailors is same every where. Thanks for response. CHEERS
