2013 has to be better for me than 2012 was......

I totally agree with you. This year has been an extremely challenging year for me too. Minor surgery in Januaary followed by pneumonia in February. March I returned to work to only find my employer playing every game under the sun. It was so evident they wanted to get rid of me, and come May they finally succeeded in pushing me out. April the car finally decided to have more major repair bills, so it was time to buy a new car. How I hate having a car payment again. After coming home from having surgery in June, I came home to find that my new car was towed. It was a totally disaster that was all the complex's fault but they would not take any responsibility. After crying my sob story, the only one that did anything to help me was the tow company. Luckily, I end up only having to pay $50, but still it was extra expenditure that I was not expecting. August got what I thought was a good job only to later find out that I was walking into a nightmare situation where I would end up being sabotaged by subordinates within 6 weeks of taking job. Been unemployed since the end of September. A major fight with the boyfriend late into October. The result was him breaking up with me after us being together for almost 9 years. The job interview that I had in late November, they recommended someone else for the position. Trying to stay friends with the ex-boyfriend despite being quite hurt - not easy to do. I do think that it is one of those situations where you are stuck betwhen a rock and a hard spot. He tried to overdose on meds twice this month. After being hospitalized for treatment the second time at a mental health place he got a life threatening infection. Seriously, 2013 has got to be better than 2012! It seems like it has just be a stroke of bad luck all year. I cannot wait for the New Year, and I am looking upon 2013 with a positive outlook that it will be a new year with lots of opportunities for good things to come. I mean I think that I have had everything bad happen this year, so next year it should be my turn for a good year. Either way, 2013 will be a fresh start to a promising future. Best wishes for 2013.

You have said that you are an American citizen, why do you not live somewhere near your son in the US/ Maria, I am sorry you have had a bad year. I hope 2013 is a much better year for you.

2012 was not too bad for me, but now that we have moved back to Australia, I would like 2013 to be even better! 13 is my lucky number after all!

Wow hun you sure did go through a lot in this year. Where as it was not the best for me either I have seen worse. I still wish for something good in the next, 2013, for a year that will be memorable for the blessings. I do hope for that in your life as well.

I agree with you... i have high hopes for the year to come. Though the year 2012 has been kind to me, i am looking forward to the year 2013... and it better be good than i expect it to be... =) because i have had a lot of my hopes shattered, and life broken this year, that of course i am all rooting for the year 2013 to be healing everything,

I hope everything will be fine for you now, friend. There are many things that we can't expect to be happen in our life. But those are kind of things to determined how strong we are and what kind of people we are. Be strong in all the sorrows and trials that might be affect you and I know someday good things will be on your way and success will at last comes to you.

Wow, so much has happened to you for 2012, but like you said, 2013 is going to be a way better year for you and I have to say the same as well. My health in 2012 has been not so good and I feel like now all that is getting under control. Just before Christmas my job started cutting back on hours so our finances were going down hill. But while this year was ending a new year is begining I just know 2013 is going to be even better. Just cause of how things are ending, I got a new job and things are going to start getting better at my husband's job.

If it comes to not having a great year I don't think I had a great year ever in my life. It seems always something is going on, something unexpected, I did not count on. Weird thing is if you look back the year passed by quickly. Some years ago I always found the start of a new year taking soo long (so the first few months) 2012 was different if it comes to that. The thing I also discovered is that I care less about what a year brings me, the bad things, since they all are gone sooner or later. Only thing that pops up in my mind are the words so many people said to me in the past: your time will come too. Well my time did not come at all but it's fine the way it is. I think the "13" next year will be great :-D Wish you a great 2013 as well! Make dreams, plans and go for it.

I do hope your 2013 is better for you indeed. I hope you take care of your health, and that is the most important thing. I could never imagine stealing from someone, but it shows how low thye are as a person stealing from family out of all people. I hope you get to see your son as well. It must be hard not being able to see him.

Well,sad to hear how it was for you.I know how you felt throughout the period.But atleast you have survived the ordeal throughout 2012.I also did not have a great 2012, although there was lot of promises.I could not get the promotion in job i wanted and also the hike was very low.I had to work out of my skin but was not rewarded well.I lost a few hopes on things.I could not get rid of some of things i wanted like weight and things to an extent i wanted.I could not save money as i desired.I could not get on the life in the way it has to be.The expenses rose and i could see most of my colleague s or friends in a better position in life,where sadly i am not so at this point of time.I was heartbroken in many things.The list goes on.I also sincerely wish 2012 ends as fast as possible.Hope we would never see any worse year like 2012 again in our lives.Wish you as well a great 2013!

So I am raising an imaginary glass of champas and toast to all of us for a much better 2013. Considering last year was supposed to be my best year ever well I had to laugh in the end they cannot always get it right can they? xxx

It does sound like you had a hard year in 2012. And I do hope that 2013 is much better for you. I hope it is better for me as well. It is a good feeling to leave all the old pain from last year behind and move forward. Remember, we cannot change what has been done, but we can change what we do moving forward. I sure hope 2013 is much better for you and your family. I know we were very blessed last year and hope for the same this year. We have been working really hard on paying down our debt.
