One of my favorite holiday memories is cutting a tree in the woods with my father and sister, then taking it inside to stick in a coffee can and decorate with homemade chains of colored construction paper and strands of popcorn.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad to hear about your holiday memories and i am sure that would have been a great experience for u also. In my case i had many holiday memories and i would rate my recent trip to Paris and Switzerland as among the best holiday memories as i never expected that i would be having such a great time with my parents exploring these beautiful places.

OK, gang, I'm gonna add another holiday memory to keep the ball rolling along.
I loved going to my grandmother's house for Christmas. Not only did we get to see all the aunts, uncles and cousins, we had taffy pulls out on her front porch when it was cold enough. My grandmother would butter and freeze several stoneware plates ahead of time. Then after supper, we would line up for her, my mom and the aunts to pour boiling cane syrup or molasses onto them and hand them to us. We blew on the stuff until it was safe to handle, then kneaded our portions until they turned from brown to gold. Then we went out on the front porch and added them together and paired up to pull them numerous times until they were barely warm and soft enough to slice into candy. Thinking about that, I can almost taste it now. Yummmyyy!!! Merry Christmas! :-)

My favorite Christmas was the year I first met my half-sister. I went to her family's' Christmas party and was introduced to a whole new family. It was all exciting, I didn't get many gifts then, but the best gift was meeting my new family.

Well since yester we opened our presents I have a memory.. again! Everyone was opening their gifts, everyone had opened expect for me, because there wasn't one for me. After a bit I went upstairs and played xbox. My grandpa told me to come down because I had to open my gift. I walked down, looking for a box or something. I was standing right in front of it. I asked where it was and they said it's right there. Finally I saw it, it was a brand new bike, which I needed one.
