Interesting Gun Laws - mandatory gun ownership

In Kennesaw Georgia, a law was passed in 1982 that required a head of household to own a gun. Since then, there were only 4 murders...That kind of blows a big hole in the obamderthals theory that guns kill people... And of course, three of the murders happened in "gun prohibited areas". Which proves that bad guys will never care about the laws and will always be able to get guns... I will never believe that the act of taking away citizens home weapons will stop crime...It has been proven in every country where they are banned or strictly controlled, that the bad guys still get them and still use them. While in countries that allow arms, the good guys win out. We need to get the liberal media to stop showing all that is horrible just to get ratings, and to tell the truth at least now and then. You know, it used to be a crime amongst reporters to print lies...Now they do what ever they wish without a care.

Who is calling for "taking away citizens home weapons"? Do you have an AR-15 as your "home weapons"? I read this law, and it actually sounds like it was more of a way for the city to cut cost on officers. We are one of the most liberal countries, who "allow arms", and yet we still have "bad guys" killing children. How is that the "good guys win out"? Do you think the families of those who lost their kids feel that way? FOX News covers all of these killings, just like the rest of the media. Are THEY "liberal media"?. I find it ironic that most right wingers want to bash the "liberal media" when they don't cover something they find news worthy. But, when the media covers something they don't like they bash it. Sounds like your right wingers just want selective media, that shows only what you want. You already have that: FOX (LACK OF) NEWS!!!! If it was still a crime to print lies, Rupert Murdock wouldn't have ANY companies!!!

President Bush Fired 8 US Attorneys who refused to investigate suspected voter fraud. He had the right to hire and fire any of his political appointments. President Clinton fired all the Federal Attorney when he took office. Both were for political reasons but perfectly legal.

Bob, I am not questioning the firing, but it was determined that it has NOTHING to do with performance, and EVERYTHING to do with politics. But, that isn't illegal to do this, although it should be (not just because Bush did it, but because no one should lose their job due to what party they support (especially judges who are suppose to take the law into account, not what their "political master" wants them to do). This was about the fact that the AG at the time ONLY went to FOX News to defend himself, knowing that he would get softballs thrown at him.

knowing that he would get softballs thrown at him. That is YOUR opinion. Perhaps it is like so many other stories the MSM DOESN'T report on; when Democrats break the law, no one on the left cares... and when Republicans break the law, everyone on the left gets on the bandwagon and exagerates and lies to make it worse.

I've heard of Kennesaw before. It's not a town I'd want to live in. Or if I did, I'd have to campaign against this law, since I object to being told what to do, whether it's by national or local government. Any idea if anyone has ever tried to mount a legal challenge on constitutional grounds?
