The other day, Pelosi found a new way to attack the GOP. She said that they should show more concern for the celebration of kawanzza. She was not so subtly pulling the race card again.
Most folks know little to nothing about kawanzza. They think it is an old african holy day. Africans know nothing about this supposed holy day. It does not exist in africa. Yeah, it is a made up day.
In 1966 a black professor, Maulana Karenga (also not from africa) invented the holiday. He said it was an alternative to the christian holiday of christmas. He said that jesus was psychotic and that christianity was for whites and that blacks should shun it.
Professor Karenga was greatly influenced by malcom X and was an ardent supporter of the black power movement. He made up 7 principles to live by and these were to be celebrated on the 7 days of kawanzza. It is a totally secular holiday. Its tenants are to be separate from whites as much as possible. Blacks should have their own places of business and live in their own areas...Interesting ideology for folks that seemed to want the opposite.
Is this the image you had of kawanzza?

"Can people who are not of African descent participate in Kwanzaa activities?
Kwanzaa is clearly an African holiday created for African peoples. But other people can and do celebrate it, just like other people participate in Cinco de Mayo besides Mexicans; Chinese New Year besides Chinese; Native American pow wows besides Native Americans."

Was I supposed to just blindly agree with you when you were trying to make this issue about race?

No, I didn't know that much about the founder of it, although I knew it was a new "holiday" for black people. Blacks should have their own places of business?? Isn't that what integration is against? If kwanza means more racism and segregation, it's on wonder Pelosi is all for it. She's a racist along with many others in the current administration.

The tribal mentality of blacks in reference to separatism never left them...They have to have a separate prom in high school, separate colleges, separate miss America contests, separate churches, separate businesses...etc. They want the benefits, they want white women, but they do not take on the responsibilities connected with the benefits.
You know that Pelosi just opens her mouth and talks...she is totally clueless...it was just another way to attack those that she hates. She could not care less about the blacks, she is just counting votes for the next election...

Yes, you're right; she rides on any wave that comes along. And you're right about the blacks, too, at least some of them. Not all, though. I think that's when we get in trouble. We start lumping all of "them" under one thing, no matter who "they" are.

Kwanzza never really caught on despite it's promotion in the black community. They didn't seem to get on the Kwanzza bandwagon.
Kwanzaa is a hoax -- a hoax built around fake history and pseudohistorical delusions. By attempting to dignify and promote Kwanzaa Pelosi just told us that SHE supports lying to the black community and by association, she supports a violent criminal who is now in prison and by default she promotes a terror group (Black Symbionese Party) that the 7 principles of Kwanzza came from in the first place.
Thank GOD the GOP doesn't promote this BS.

Socialist activist and black nationalist
Founder of the militant black power organization United Slaves
In 1971 was arrested for assaulting and torturing two female members of his organization
Professor and chairman of the Department of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach
Has spoken at the Socialist Scholars Conference
Creator of the 'African American' holiday Kwanzaa
Professing a devotion to combating "systemic racism," Karenga began his foray into black nationalism in the early 1960s, founding the militant black power organization United Slaves (US) to "provid[e] a philosophy, a set of principles and a program which inspire a personal and social practice that not only satisfies human need but transforms people in the process, making them self-conscious agents of their own life and liberation."
A number of United Slaves members, among them Karenga, have served prison time for various crimes including murder. In 1969, US was involved in a disagreement with the Black Panthers regarding two candidates who were vying for a directorial position at UCLA's newly created Afro-American Studies Center. US backed one contender, while the Black Panthers supported another. The dispute ended when two US members shot and killed two members of the Black Panthers.
In 1971, Karenga and US members Louis Smith and Luz Maria Tamayo were convicted of felonious assault and false imprisonment for having tortured two female US members, Gail Davis and Deborah Jones. Following Karenga's subsequent incarceration in a California State prison, US temporarily disbanded before being reestablished by Karenga in 1975.
Pelosi is an idiot. SHE KNOWS this and thinks black folks are to stupid to know this. It is another indication of what liberals truly think about black folks.

Socialist activist - amongst his communities. Back then, there was something called segregation. Whites would not want Black customers, but would hire them to do subservient jobs. Blacks, still, make far less money than whites.
The idea of building and strengthening your community is no different than what we do on a broader scheme all around. We try to buy local and support local farmers. We try to shop at the corner stores. And to you and Ann Culter, that is frowned upon?

Segregation (Jim Crow laws) were passed by Democrats. Sure you want to go there?
http://www.humanevents.com/2011/07/10/democrats-should-know-jim-crow-they-created-him/
In 1832, the phrase “Jim Crow” was born. By 1900, every former Confederate state (including Wyoming, Missouri, Ohio, Utah, Kentucky, Kansas and Oklahoma) had enacted “Jim Crow” laws prohibiting everything from interracial marriage to racially integrated public school systems. These state laws served to place blacks back on a virtual plantation. Similar to the “Black Codes” that came before them, Jim Crow laws were numerous. However, one denominator codified their sound support in Southern states: They all resulted from Democratic legislators of the “Solid South.”
Black Nationalist;
A member of a group of militant Black people who urge separatism from white people and the establishment of self-governing Black communities.
So HOW is separatism any different or better than segregation? Racist ideology coming from Blacks is not any different than that coming from Whites.

Once again, the Democrats (Pelosi) are showing their TRUE feelings about Blacks.
