Saving money is my priority for next year. I am planning to rent a house for using my savings. The second one is the settlement if I have gf. I want my partner to feel home at renting house. I hope this will work for me. How about you guys?

I save some of my salaries and also money from my part-time job.Meanwhile mylot is part of my saving. One of my friend told me that i shouldn't spend money in some ways so as to set aside some money for my goal. This indeed makes sense. So good for us.

At a young age I was always taught to save and put money away, so for me saving has become second nature, I do it automatically. I don't set myself any resolutions any more, if I want to make a change I will do it TODAY, regardless of what the date is. If you want to make a change make it now, not wait till January 1st. If you are determined, have the will power then there is no reason why you cannot save money.

Once some money passes my way that won't be earmarked for paying debts, keeping up with utility bills, and paying for day-to-day survival such as food and other household goods, I would love to experience saving money. However, if I had a piggy bank to put savings into for a rainy day, I'm afraid that it would, currently, be filled with nothing but air!

This year I hope to do better with my savings. I'm more of a spender rather than a saver but I'm working on it. I now have the right mind set for saving since we have had a very hard time financially this year. I hope that you are able to reach your goals.

Well, there are many times you set aside ways in order to be able to save some extra $$ for things, and then hope it will always be something that you can stick with. Many times when you cannot it makes you feel you need to start all over again. I do try and set aside some money from time to time as I can, and plan for things for a rainy day. We have a lot of different things we are really wanting to do, so finding a way to start saving and planning for them is needed.

hi there cobalt20. i know that saving money is a consistent new year's resolution by others. this resolution ranks high along with trying to be healthier like going on a diet or undergoing a fitness program, as well as trying to kick a bad habit like boozing too much or smoking. for me, i do have a resolution about saving money but it is part of a bigger goal which is to save my first million. it is a five year plan but i'm trying to achieve it in three years. it will be both a savings and earning plan and so far i'm quite happy with what i've accomplished. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

That is one of the plan that I have. Although I spent a lot of money during Christmas for gifts to my family, I want to save a small part for my future. I think this is practical specially during emergencies. My New Year plan is to save some every pay day for my future.

It has always been part of my resolution. But sadly, some problems come along the way. So I always ended up just saving a few. But I am hoping that this coming new year will be better for me. And hopefully, something really great comes up!

I think new years resolutions are a waste of time. I think it would be better to set small goals for ourselves. But saving money is something I always do anyway. I look at it like this, there are things we do now that are like second nature to us. So what we need to do is create small goals of things we ant to stick with and make them common everyday things we do. So then we won't have to think about it, we just do it.

Not so much saving but paying off things we already have, which is the same we had last year. We did really good in 2012, let's see how far we can get in 2013.

That is a good question and a good thing to think too. That is hubby's priority most of the time, he would not care if we really like or want to buy something specially if there's no budget for it. So.. you don't have a girlfriend yet?... maybe before you date a girl you must tell her that you want to settle down so that she'll know whether to say yes with you or not yet. hahahaha. It's better like that than get broken hearted. I don't have new year's resolution yet, and I don't think I'm having too. I've done that before but nothing really happens. So I what will I do this year is just do what is right and beneficial to me and a lot of people around me. I do hope that I'll be able to change the things that that is not good with me and focus on the good one. :) happy new year to you then.

I will also plan to save more money each month, one for travel, the other one is for buying a new house in my city. But as the housing price and inflation of price is rising all the time ,though how hard I would to save some,it would not be enough. Good luck with your resolutions.Hope great success in the coming new year!

Every year I renew my old resolutions to save a certain amount of money a week, or to earn a certain amount of money on line, and the other one is not to take crap from anyone. The money one doesn't alwayswork out the way I want, but I don't take crap from anyone. That one stands. :)

Thanks for reminding. I know I need to seriously save starting this New Year. It seems like nothing has been saved the previous years, so now would be the time to finally do it.

much asi wanted to save money seems that whenever I saved something really bad happens. Like for example the last time I saved money I planned to buy sofa excitedly i was able to save good enough to buy one set.. and good one. but then, after i was to buy i got sick, i got chicken pox and the money that i saved for the sofa just goes to the medicines so i wont have deep scars. the medicines were successful but then, no sofa
