Well then. I'm not sure how to exactly reply this. This feeling. Anger, Sadness, Confusion.. They're all mixed together. I want to be angry at her, though that will only induce sadness, of which I never have handled too well. I don't want to accept this. I can't. Maybe some time will heal my cuts, though I'm sure I'll still be able to feel them.
I'm still confused. I'll try to make the best of this, and hopefully it'll work out mutually for the both of us.

The best would be to accept those feelings. It will take time, don't rush. Accepting the pain, I think, will make it less difficult for you.
It's already a good thing that the person opted for friendship. Some people when you confess to them can reject you and never talk to you again for various reasons.
Do something you love, preoccupy yourself. Improving yourself will raise your self esteem. I also have a friend who has gone through the same experience as you.
Maybe you are not ready for that yet. You make yourself a better person and see if they can resist you.

Hmm, that is some good advice that I'll be taking. We've been together for quite some time now and this sudden message came on my phone made me explode in all ranges of feelings..

I hope whatever it is you are in right now, the situation gets better soon. I know it will but you have to know how to handle this. only you know what's truly going on and no amount of advice can help you if you are unable to help yourself. It is normal for us to be sad, angry, confused... but always remember that you deserve to be happy, and you should definitely go for that happiness and take it, claim it... if not with this person, with someone who would appreciate you more.

Don't feel upset coz everyone is gonna go through that and we will get recover from that.Everything will be settled through time, what you need to do is find a thing that you like to do to make yourself not focused on that and gradually you will forget the pain.

I think that some of the cultures that have arranged marriages maybe on to something! You may be hurt and disappointed over the choice of mate, but then you get over it and make the best of the marriage. In the cultures that encourage dating, but without any heavy involvement before the marriage, may find that dating is not as painful as in those cultures where 'anything' goes. I think that when the feelings of two are not mutual, that someone will be hurt, confused, angry, sad and those are feelings that can be managed. There really are other 'fish in the sea' so to speak. A lot of people are single and there are many choices. I think that friendship should be the foundation of any relationship, so being friends first would be my priority.
