did you wear a new dress at the X'mas party?

I did not. I have a lot of clothes which I haven't used for a long time so I knew that they would look new to others. At one party, I wore a dress which I got a year ago, and at another party, I wore a dress which I bought at a seconds store. I only used colorful accessories to make it look Christmassy. My sister and her family were all wearing red so when she asked me why I wasn't wearing a red outfit, I told her that it would look monotonous and boring. Christmas has several colors, it is not just one color and indeed we gave color to the photos because I was wearing something green, then the kid wore a colorful yellow dress and the other one wore something white. How about you? Did you bother to wear something red? A lot of people think that red is he color of X'mas. What do you think?

I only attended one Christmas party which is a party in the neighborhood happened last Christmas day. It didn't require to wear something formal so I can only wear anything so long as it is neat and decent. It was really great because I was with my relatives! We ate a lot of foods, had games and exchanging gifts.

Sounds like a party in the neighborhood too. You must be from the Philippines.

A lot of people think red is the color of Christmas and you are right about that! I'm not fond of red dresses that's why i didn't own a single one until last Christmas. Because of the school activity, i was forced to buy a red dress and wore it on Christmas day.

LOL. To be forced to wear something is not fun.

Polca dots or any bright colors would do the job. Red is fine as long as you like it. I know some people don't want to wear red. Well, for me there's no need to wear new get-up during parties as long as it's presentable and I'm comfortable with it.

Polka dots is believed to be good on New Year's Eve because the dots symbolize money.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation and i know every one would have been surprised to see u not in a red dress but at the end of the day one should enjoy to the fullest rather than restricting it to a dress code. Well just like u even i wore an outfit which i had wore once before and even did not feel the necessity to get a new one this Christmas. What say?

We have to be practical nowadays. More clothes would also lead to more garbage.

I didn't, because I decided to buy no clothes this winter, and save the money to pay for the travelling expenses next year with my parents. There is no tradition about which color of cloth we need to wear during the Christams, people just wear cloth as they like.

I think Christmas should be colorful and not just one color.
