Don’t underestimate the power of online jobs

So I attended an event last week and it was related to a mini get together with my friends back in my high school and grade school years. It was nice seeing my friends over the age, and it was nice seeing them grow mature and more likely become adults LOL.
As I was tagging along with their discussions, they were talking about what careers we are landing after our College years because majority of my batch already graduated from college including me. So, while they boiled up the conversation and it was quite nice hearing their backgrounds over their years of college life it was my time to share what things I had come across in my present working status. Although they’ve known that I had a previous working experience away from online premise, they were still skeptic about me being a freelancer online.
They thought I was fooling around, but when I started explaining my workloads, they were much pretty amazed and more likely filling up a new knowledge in terms of earning online. They were also surprised that what I am earning is more likely high than their offline incomes. Well I can’t really blame them about their first reaction about my working status because some of them are not used to online jobs and they are traditional working people so, with by educating and informing them about it, is in a way fulfilling because not only they know about online freelancing, they do put up some respect about the subject matter.

Yes, we have to be careful though because some are scams and some are legit. it's a matter of instincts.

I tried to apply at Odesk before but I didn't got the chance. Do you need experience to get an experience to get the job over there? I want to introduce my husband for additional income.

where do you live my friend?
in the third countries, the occupation as online marketer have a lower social status..
i mean many people underestimate if the occupation is good and can support our life maybe..
don`t blame them,.just be yourself, if you enjoy to be internet marketer..just prove them that you can buy anything from your online income..

Hello, i live in the Philippines and i must say, although my country is developing most especially with technology and internet. Somehow, they often go to traditional working norms which they never thought you can earn some decent money from online jobs. But anyhow, as i was explaining to them about my workloads they were amazed and gain knowledge about the subject matter.
Thanks for your response.

I had same reactions from my friends as well. They know that there are online jobs but they are not aware what kind of jobs are really available, what things are done , how people are paid, etc. Just like your friends, they were amazed at how online jobs could be a really good source of income if we could find real good employers and with a job that is really stable.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for the great achievement you have made with your online career.
With my one year experience in the online activities, I know that what you have achieved is really possible just by reading some of the sharing of our friends here and from other sites. I never doubted the financial success that an online work can offer. That is why even I find it hard for me having two jobs, offline and online, I am trying my best to discover every angle of the online world.
As of now I cannot talk about great achievement yet, but the fact that it is possible, that for sure I can share it with my friends. I am on my way, that's a promise.
How long have you been working online?

Hello, thank you for your response. I've been working online for about 6 months more or less... i really can't remember when i had started because i acquire the knowledge in online career from my Sister whose been working as a Virtual Assistant so, she taught me some tips and tricks and at the same time i did research about possible opportunities you can land work in cyberspace.
As of now, i've been doing freelancing jobs at Odesk and for Search Engines which i'm afraid i can't tell you because its in the company's terms.
Have a great day!

Well, done champ. It is not easy to convince people about online income or online freelancing. Many are skeptical about it.Not many have ventured into ti considering other fields of employment. But then there is hugh opportunity in online world though journey is not easy.I am currently juggling with my online and offline jobs.I am yet to make substantial amount online and has not been able to meet my expenses depending only on my online income. It is also hard meeting expectations both online and offline and also maintaining the work life balance. It has been quiet a challenge for me in those respects.I have not spoken much about my online freelancing except to my family and friends. But they have not taken it seriously nor they seem to be amused.Perhaps,it might be because of my online income and also the fact is i have not earned substantially online.I hope i could also make important breakthroughs in online income in 2013 and make towards bigger and better marks. It will also help me in making me financially independent. Thanks!

Most people are skeptical about working online. It does take passion and perseverance to do this.
Over the years, I learn to stay positive although not fully focused on online jobs. Still it is my believe that online jobs or businesses will be an equal to having a physical job. Except it will have greater advantages like no traffic jams, nine to five job and so on.

Regardless if its online or offline both do not promise an instant amount of decent money... you need to put your a-game within those workloads in order to satisfy yourself financially. Also, you need to acquire more skills in order that one employer or an online firm will hire you on their posted projects.
Like you, i did struggle my first few months on online opportunities because some may be to good to be true, some might promise good compensation but in the end falls to a little income. So, with extensive research and a painstaking trial and error, i did manage to conclude some legitimate and good online freelancing opportunities.
Thanks for your response.

@creationhub: Yes,some are very skeptical with the opportunities you can land online as an online worker mostly because they fall on the traditional working experiences out of cyberspace and some just don't have that much knowledge on it.
