I loved that movie. At first you think its going to be a real "roots-type" movie. Then by the end of the first scene, you're reminded that the movie was made by the great Q.T. Some great laughs & gunfights in this movie. Really worth the 3 hours......and yes...it was three hours.

I liked the movie myself. It is a western, where the slave ultimately wins in the end type of movie. do I feel it's an insult, no. I am not down with all the bloodshed and the N word used, but let's keep it real for the time period that it was set in,we as a people were not valued as human beings,we were cattel and slaves. and if Samuel L.Jackson's character kept his mouth shut half of that bloodshed would have never occurred. I feel if you wish, watch the movie and judge for yourself.

Django unchained IS an insult. Not only to old classics western movies, but also to the wiewer. I was stunned how often the use of copy and paste was used in this movie. Some of the sceens was just too simular to the original that you can tell right away from wich movie and from what sceene it was taken from. If you add music used in old western classics, and add them all in one movie dont make the movie better. I feel as if Mr Tarantino wanted to tell his audience wich movies are his favorites, cos after watching this movie you will know. You may know that Tarantino loves samurai movies. If you have ever seen one of those movies there is alot of blood when someone get sliced open. Triple that blood effect when someone gets shot, and you get the pitchure.Imagine, western and splatter movies in one. My personal wiew, dont waste your time. For me it was just a huge facepalm. The number of times i felt that i have seen a sceene before was too many.
