My daughters made me cry today

The girls and I went shopping today, and they made me cry. We went to Big Lots, and while they were paying for their items, I went out to the car. The girls came out, and just watching them brought tears to my eyes. My pregnant 20 year old was hanging onto her sister (three years older). It was just such a pretty sight seeing them getting along so well (they always do) but it was just so heartwarming. What has brought tears to your eyes?

Well, a lot of things have made me cry lately. Unfortunately, all of them made me sad. I'd rather not go into details right now, but all I can say is that since we are still celebrating the Christmas Season, everyone should be doing things that would make everybody happy and it is not the time to be hurting any one.

Thanks! I am really always looking forward for a better new year. And hopefully, something real great will happen for me in 2013. I wish you happy new year, too!

Tears of joy are so much better than tears of sadness, hopefully this year you will have more of the first. That's right Christmas is a time of joy and beauty and some people just don't think until it's to late.

I wish my kids could be that close. My oldest daughter and my son have been in a "family feud" for over a year now and it hurts me so bad. She hasn't even seen her new nephew yet except in pictures on fb. Your a very lucky Mom!

I have a few of them, like the family photo we took on Christmas day. Looking at the photo, I see my two youngest (a boy 12 and a girl 13) holding hands in the photo. It's sweet things like this that just make my heart swell.

That would warm my heart too. I have just one daughter. She will soon be 43. We are like sisters in many ways. We have been asked if we were sisters, and my daughter would say, “That’s my mom!” Sometimes we have talks and something she will do or say will bring tears to my eyes. I am a crier. I get touched easily and will cry with happiness or sadness. I love my family, and sometimes just seeing them relate to each other will warm my heart. We were talking about my mom and dad and my son in law’s mother’s mom who are deceased yesterday at Christmas. We said if they could be here they would be happy at all we had accomplished in our lives now. We have a beautiful home now that we are so proud of. I know they would be happy for us. Just talking about them brought tears to both our eyes.. his mom and me were both shedding a little tear for wishing our moms could see us now.

We often hear how so many families have problems getting along, and of course our family is not without it's problems as well, but when we focus on the positive blessings in our lives, we learn to appreciate them more and get along better too. It is good to know you get along so well with your own daughter.

I understand what you feel... I am a mother of four and what made me teary-eyed often is seeing them all four together showing their care for each other...

These are the moments where you can stop wondering if you did your best to parent them, because obviously you did something right.

Both my sons are serving in the military. My youngest son was able to come home for Christmas last year but not my oldest son. I hadn't seen my oldest in two years. I kept asking my husband when our son could take some leave. He kept saying that he didn't know. But what I didn't know is that both of them planned a surprise military homecoming for this Christmas. This was almost two weeks before Christmas at my husband's office party. Everyone at his work was in on the surprise. Well, I cried when they told me to turn around when we were having our photo taken and right behind me, my son had sneaked up behind me. My daughter was at this party as well and she cried too. My son laughed as we hugged him. He enjoys a good joke and thought that the surprise was a good joke. I would always cry when I watched the surprise military homecomings on the internet, but I really didn't expect that I would have a surprise military homecoming.

Really? It use to be Pic and Save? No, I can't say that I remember that one. I've always known it as Big Lots. I first became familiar with back in 1998. I really like Big Lots.
