My youngest daughter with my first husband is 20 years old and having her first baby in May. Me and my oldest daughter are going to have a baby shower for her and I was trying to think of some themes and games we could play at the baby shower. What do you think would be a good theme for a baby shower? She's having a boy and naming him Tyler.

Does she have a theme for the nursery? If so, perhaps you could draw inspiration from that and design the food, games and decorations around that.
You could also run with the theme of "baby." Music with "baby" in the song title, "baby" foods (baby carrots, four cakes to spell out "B-A-B-Y," "baby" pizzas, etc.), "baby" games (i.e., come up with words with those letters in them, and the person with the most words listed within a set amount of time wins a fun gift), decorations that include stuff like baby's breath...
Another idea would be to make it a spa party. I know that sounds odd for a baby shower, but this could be sort of the "kick back and relax" fun day before the baby comes. There would still be gifts for baby, of course, but the shower itself would feature things such as mocktinis and a more refined menu.

I am sure she has a theme for the nursery, she did mention some colors that she wanted. I'll have to make a point to ask her the next time I see her.
Oh yeah, the baby theme is a good idea too. I will definitely use that one. It reminds me of the Full House episode when Rebecca was breaking the news to Jesse that she was having a baby, twins in fact. I sure do miss that show.
A spa day, relaxing times. Love it. I'll have to get with my daughter and get her thoughts. It sounds like so much fun. Thank you for all the great ideas, I will incorporate all of them.
