My cat is sleeping on the bed and the only way I can get to it to go to sleepis to move her. I hate doing that, she is so comfy now. She has had a heck of sa time with her skin problems and flea allergies that should have been taken care of sooner. I know I should have noticed the fleas sooner too but she wasn't an oustide cat so I figured she didn't have fleas. Turns out she does, either from getting out accidentally or getting them at the Vet, or maybe even from being on the back porch alot. In any case, I will move her towards the bottom of the bed and see if she stays. Good Night for now, Mylotters. Please pray that her flea and skin problems go away. I called the vet but they might not be there this week cause of the holidays. I left a message on their answering service, which I hate doing but had to.

Poor kitty. I had a kitty with severe allergies. They thought it was fleas but if a cat is allergic to fleas it going to be allergic both inside and outside. She had no allergies prior to us making her an inside cat. Believe it or not, she was allergic to clay cat litter. Once we figured that out it sure made a difference.
Anyhow, in between the allergy shots, we would make a blend of oils, jojoba base, with a few drops of lavender and chamomile essential oils and rub her down with it. It was soothing to her skin. And it helped her rest of course.
For some pets, even 1 or 2 fleas can send them into a frenzy of biting, chewing and hair pulling. It's awful. But there are further worries. It can lead to yeast infections, yes, of the skin, on pets and can become a vicious circle.
Oh, before I forget, we used to give Pumpkin a little vitamin C as it naturally helps with allergies.
I hope they are able to see your cat soon.

I have that problem with my cats and that is why we have several spots in the house to sleep in in case of such a problem. We don't like to move our cats if they are sound asleep.

Fleas are a year round problem. You might try giving your cat brewers yeast. You can either get it in tablet form or in powder. The tablets are so much cheaper and is well worth the time to crush the tablets to mix in her food. After the brewer's yeast has built up in your cat's system the fleas won't bite her or even get on her because of the horrible taste of her blood. The yeast won't hurt the cat (I've used brewer's yeast on my cats for years and years) and will help with keeping fleas off her, help her skin, and help her coat. I've also had a cat that had fleas so bad that I had to give him a bath...he loved it!!! I filled the tub up to his neck with warm water and placed him in the water. He stood there like a perfect gentleman for the ten minutes I kept him there. There had to be close to 1500 fleas that floated off his body...no wonder he didn't object to the bath. Anyhow he was much better for about 5 days and then I did it again. I don't use any chemicals on my cats to control the fleas as I nearly had one of my cats die from my using flea spray on her. I always worry that if it kills fleas what is it doing to my cat?
Also, if you have access to eucalyptus trees, collect the leaves and crush them and put them in the area where she sleeps a lot. If you're handy collect the "nuts" (those things that look like bells that I haven't figured out what they're for other than rolling under your foot and making you fall on your fanny) and drill a hole through them and string them as a collar for your cat. Fleas hate eucalyptus oil, leaves and those pitching rolly things. It might take a bit longer for the fleas to leave but they will eventually go away. Also, put some leaves in your vacuum cleaner bag for when you vacuum the next time, when you finish vacuuming throw away the bag as you have sucked up not only the fleas but the eggs and the larva that hatched. If you keep the bag in the vacuum and in the house the hatch-lings will simply re-infest your home with fleas. It will end up being a never ending battle to keep fleas off your cat.
You do sound so much like me. I have four cats and it seems like they are always sleeping where I want to sit or lay. At night I have to either clear the bed or wait for them to move so I can get in. Or they will settle in my lap and go to sleep and of course I will need to stand up and do something. They always look so angelic when they are snoozing... Oh, and then there is the problem where they curl up on your legs when you're sleeping and you don't want to move your feet because you're going to wake up the baby. I learned that IF I fake a sneeze the whole herd scatters!
