I cant sleep last night because of dogs barking

Hello SR Even I used to have problem with this in past, but you know now I am habitual of this thing. Well, my uncle is having two dogs and we share the same home. Now both of them keep barking whole night whenever they see other dog, cow or any person. In starting even I wasn't able to sleep properly, but now it not affecting me at all. About dog crying, yes that is the worse thing, it really disturbed our sleep.

hello there, Although I don't have the same experience as yours, it's quite alarming. I love dogs, they're cute and cuddly and they also can be our protector. However, if they are disturbing my or my neighbor's sleep, that is not okay anymore. I think you should talk to your neighbor politely and ask them if they could find a way to keep their dog from barking at night so you could have pleasant sleep. Thanks.

I did not have experience about dogs barking at my house. I have only have cats in my house. Sometimes, cats are getting fight from another cats' neighbor.

There are some times that my dogs are very guilty of barking through the night, but I have to say that this is something that is an exception to the rule as opposed to being something that they do on a regular basis. I do have to agree with you that when the dogs spend most of the night barking it is nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep and the result of not getting a good night of sleep is that you don't feel very well during the following day.

I too do not mind if a dog barks as it is doing its duty but wailing shows that something is wrong with the dog. I hope you have talked to your neighbour about it. I experience that in my neighbourhood sometimes and wonder why the owners do not get disturbed I go there or phone them up and tell them to do something. If it disturbs you again, please use some ear plugs. That works.

I would really feel concerned about that dog if I were in that situation. I would probably ask the neighbor why the dog is crying at night. Is it hungry? thirsty? is it sick? Can't they listen to the crying of their own dog? Are they that heartless? Why have a dog if they are deaf and blind to its needs? I think it is a csse of animal abuse. You can report that neighbor to a local animal rights office.

i always wake up in the midnight because some sounds...sometimes is the dog barcs and somethimes is the cat...which then i can not sleep and till morning i have to go to work with tired showing in my face... No sleep well can have impact on your works, your spirit etc., i hope those who have dogs, cats can let them be quiet in the night, should give us a smooth night

You can speak to your neighbor about it. Ask him to control his dog. If the reply is, " Oh, I am sorry! But I cannot help it. My dog is not feeling well. I cannot control my dog." Your last resort is report to the local authority. Let your local authority or city council handle. In my country, Malaysia we are entitle to peace and tranquility. If we report any disturbance by neighbor's pets and the city council we come and confiscate the pets even though they have licence to keep pets.

So why do you think the dog is crying. There is a reason for that and it should be sought by your neighbor who owns the dog. Otherwise, tonight it will be doing the same again.

I too have a hard time sleeping sometimes when my neighbor's dog barks sporadically all night long. They tied their dog by their front door facing the road. There are times when big trucks slow down and people pass by and this dog barks at them.

When i was in hanoi, sometime i heard dogs' barking, but it is not normal barking, i felt that they are crying also...i feel sad whenever i heard it...i don't know what happened with these dogs..since there are some dog meat restaurants near my area.

just let them bark it will just last for a day and just go to a private place hoped i helped :D

If our dogs barks continuously then i will go out and check the dog , might be the dog is in danger , thirsty or hungry. I can't sleep listening not because i am annoyed to his noise but because i am worrying the condition of the dog. There is must be really something. I can't afford listening to dog's cry , i love dogs.

Well, that was very disturbing most especially if you're in the midst of a good sleep. Normally, dogs are barking mostly at night due to some sounds or voices they heard as we all know dogs are having extreme keen hearing. Once dogs will intercept sounds or movements coming from those nocturnal animals at night that come out from hiding harborages to find and forage for food or those midnight peoples voices that passing in your area. Eventually, dogs will respond it accordingly reason that barking will be continuously vocalized by them. One thing i can suggest on your problem, consult the owner of such dogs and advise them to kept their dogs inside their house at night to avoid the recurring problem during night time.

Hi my area doesn't have much of dogs and my neighborhood is filled with the elders who don't prefer pets.But i can tell you one thing once i am asleep i don't think any sound can easily wake me up.I! to be frank enjoy my sleep and never let anything disturb it.

just go to the neighbours and ask them to get rid of the dogs or hire a watchman and also make sure that these dogs dont arrive at night alone in your place

If I am sleepy, nothing could stop me from sleeping. Well at least not barking or crying of dog. I would have suggested to put ear plug in and listen to soft music with ears closed. Eventually you would have fallen asleep. It works for me very fine all time. And to answer you, I haven't experienced such thing before.

Uh! I can relate. I don't know why our neighbors would not stop their dogs from barking specially when it's night time and most people are trying to get sleep. It's so annoying, part of me would like to go out and shoo that dos but I care not to avoid conflict with them. It is more annoying when I have hard time putting my baby to sleep and then finally she gets sleep and then the dog barks like crazy and my baby got awaken and don't go back to sleep anymore. Uhh! I want to yell at my neighbors!

go the owner and tell them that there dog is making to much you need to get some rest if it doesnt stop call the police or get ear plugs and put them in your ears the best thing to do it ask the owner to keep the dog inside at night .

You are so poor that night.I can understand the feeling that one was not able to go to sleep in the midnight.I think it's really a strange thing.I had ever experienced such things.That's few years ago ,I had my own pet--a dog.Then the dog would barking at midnight sometimes which bothered me a lot.So I couldn't have a nice sleeping.After that,I would get up to see what happened to my dog that resulted in his barking or crying.And usually I would put some water in his bowl,for I thought if he was thirsty.On some occasions,it was what I had inferenced,but it was not at times.What amazed me was that after I went out to see my lovely doggie ,I would calm down soon.Thus when I went to bed again,I would go into sleep straightly and deeply!
