Hi all,
I saw a netbook/tablet hybrid what is WOW!
Not a junk like Dell's Duo (really did you see the batteries and the tablet mode!!)
The machine what I'm talking about is VivoTab! It has windows 8 rt. What do you know about these? How can I install for example IfranView or a music editor on it? (For simple tasks only of course...)
How can I connect to the internet with Windows 8 RT if I have a web'n'walk stick? I can only use internet if there's wifi nearby?

Hey! I have a Duo and I like it very much, thank you...
Anyway, speaking from experience I can say that Windows RT is a great operating system and that the Asus VivoTab is a great device (I found one for $399 and it included a free keyboard docking unit).
One of the differences between Windows RT and Windows 8 is that with Windows RT you must get your programs through Microsoft's App Store, while with Windows 8 you can download and install any program (just like with any other standard computer). Windows RT is designed more for tablet functions and Windows 8 is designed for more powerful laptops and desktop computers.

You have Duo? Oh I hope you have a guarantee to take it back. Next time look after what you buy.
Do you know what can I get from Windows Market? Are there any "basic" desktop software?

Yes, I have a Duo, and like I said, I'm very happy with it.
It's compact, very durable, has a fantastic keyboard, great hard drive capacity (320 GB), the touch screen is very handy, and much more! I've had it for about a year and three months and it's been the best choice for me!
Besides, it was ahead of its time -- this convertible/hybrid device existed long before any of the Windows RT/8 stuff came out...
On the Windows App Store there are all kinds of different apps. Basically, you should be able to find anything that you're looking for. The VivoTab's built-in browser (a special version of Internet Explorer) is great and the RT interface already includes the Microsoft Office programs.

I have a question about Duo. When you turn it into tabelt mode what's happening? I mean you really get some icons and that's all? Can you edit word documents or Skype? How much is the battery life?
