Ive noticed most traffic exchange site arent the best to get your sites seen.
They may work for those sites you just want views from.
But many people just wait for timer to end and get to the next page.
i dont think many pay attention to the ads.
Do you think they are?

Its not the best for most things. If you want some traffic to a site for CPM impressions or something promotion site then its okay.

If you do only join a TE, it is useless for me but your website might get moe traffic. If you do join PTE, I can be paid with surf bonus and prizes. Plus traffic. PTE helps me a lot when I am getting paid.
Don't you ever enjoy it when your paid in PTE?

I think traffic exchanges are ok, you just have to get your site in as many traffic exchanges as possible and have it rotate as much as possible, you will get sign ups, but you must remember whatever you are promoting has to have a free option or else no one will sign up for it, if the program is real good eventually people might upgrade.

No Maria, you are right to a certain degree.
If you want to attract genuine viewers to a website or you are trying to attract refferal sign ups, then Traffic exchanges are not the way to go.
However I use TE's to get hits to Redgage, Wikinut and PTP links - It brings in the pennies.

Interesting subject you have and I'm inclined to believe that most traffic exchanges are not the best to get your site seen, but who's to say who is right. As a member of many traffic exchanges I was once told that it is over kill and have since stopped using them.
I do believe now though that one should use at least one, so have you got any ideas on which one I might use?

I know exactly what you mean. I have been combing the internet for a place that would be the right fit for all my referral links. But I have yet to find one that tops them all. I am getting tired of traffic exchange sites. I still believe that word of mouth is the best way no matter what. I might even take this to the next level and make some business cards for MG and MyLot. And place them around some areas. Maybe that will work.

I agree with you on this. People surf sites at traffic exchanges to get credits or cash, they don't really care what's displayed on the page unless there are some splashy or eyecatching things presented to them. so getting downlines through traffic exchanges does not work so well. In my experience, surfing traffic exchange is rather boring and I only do this for cash.

I found it also hard to catch referrals on traffic exchange sites. I usually join certain traffic exchange sites so as to get lots of visitors for my blogs. Additionally, there are also some traffic exchange sites which pays you through surfing websites. Indeed, I still love to use traffic exchange sites.

I also have two TE sites but I am not very active on those sites because I cannot find referrals from those sites.

Every who uses traffic exchange has a cheap website and wants money. They doesn't care your site only their own! Traffic exchange is only good to raise your stats a bit.

I agree, some do earn money from them. As they have been around a long time. But even with ref. you wont earn unless they upgrade there. They are just good for their names Traffic.....

I tried Traffic Exchanges and I think the only ones making money are the Traffic Exchange owners. I was able to track my hits on Traffic Exchanges and spend hours surfing and got thousands of hits, but no one signed up. I was told that it would take a lot longer but I don't see how more hours of surfing will get better results.
I am interested in making money not just 'branding' myself and just getting myself known on TEs won't necessarily bring in the referrals.
There must be a better way to earn online than just surfing on Traffic Exchanges.
