I personally don't see anything wrong with it at all. My parents wanted to do that when we were growing up, the thing that stopped them from it was money issues...
If I had the money I would do it too! There's so many places I would love to see and so would my kids.
There's nothing wrong with living in an RV either, they have everything you need in them to live. Beds, stove, microwave, etc...I think it would be an amazing experience for everyone.

Thanks! They really do have everything you could need. We have tons of family and friends scattered through the country and we all have so many destinations we want to see! I am working to make this happen and trying to plan properly for it. There are some who feel it is a terrible idea and that we are doing something wrong by living that way. My mom has told me since i was young that I am a gypsy. I am happiest when I am traveling. My kids are up for an adventure. My husbands band is doing really well and we are feeling this would be a great opportunity.
I think it is more and more doable with every bit of research I do about it :)

I think that it would be neat to live in an RV and travel with my family. Those types of things can be expensive because of the RV itself and then the gas to travel. So I don't think the individuals who do this are bad parents. I think they could be setting a good example for their family about keeping a simple lifestyle and not needing a lot materially. Families like that I'm sure spend a lot of time together this way.
I wouldn't mind doing something like especially since we would stay in places where it is nice all year around. But unfortunately don't have the finances or work situation for that matter to do something like that.

I am most looking forward to the amount of time we will get to spend together, sharing the sites and making memories. As the saying goes, we only live once. We have a big dream that we are hoping to fulfill. I know my children can learn a lot from us and that we can teach them all sorts of really amazing things.
They are smart boys already and my son that is in kindergarten complains that he is bored. I truly hope to keep them interested in learning. Both of my boys know all the presidents and love history, there is just so much to show them.
It is a fantastic opportunity that lies ahead and I sincerely hope it all comes together for us!

It would be a great way to make memories. Yeah and traveling that way there really wouldn't be an end to all the things that you could teach them. I'm glad to hear that your boys love to learn. Keep those goals and mind and I hope that you and your family will be able to reach them soon.

I don't think that what families live in determine if they are bad or good parents. Parents have raised their children in igloos, teepees, covered wagons, tents, etc. so it doesn't matter what kind of home.
I have heard of parents traveling in RVs while homeschooling their children. I would think that the opportunity to travel and actually see the sites would make geography more real to the children.
There are positives and negatives to any kind of home in which parents raise their children. What is most important is the love and care parents give to their children.

That is so true! I like your take on this. The love and commitment to my children's safety is very important to my husband and I.
I look forward to traveling with them and showing them the world. It is looking like this may happen for us and I am getting excited about it. I have heard a bit of negative feedback around it though and am looking at all thoughts to determine if it is a good idea :)
