I've never received any gift from my family and that is fine with me. I mean its already part of my life... ha ha ha. I am already satisfied of what I have.

I understand what you feel. Maybe your used to receive gifts from past and so, when that happens unexpectedly, well, you feel a little feel hurt or got a little offended. Its normal. I think some people feel that way too in other situation.

No case for that friend , all of us have a disability , i have mine also just that some disabilities are more obvious than the other right ? It 's okay to have no material gift , prayers and wishes are more powerful and significant than those. than those , right ?

I will also pray for you my friend. Having a parents is more than a gift that we can receive this christmas. Gift giving is just human gesture but its not important at all. Have blessed day to you and wishing you a bountiful new year!

I am honored for those prayers ! True , gift are just material thing . There are more valuables than those gifts such as parents , love , relationship , friendship , prestige and most importantly is God !

Good day to you Angelpink, I feel a bit sad after I have read your post, hence, if I can only do something or send my gift across just to brighten up your day then I will definitely do that. However, I do not know how. So the only thing I can do right now is to give you a cheerful smile that will make your day .

Hey, its true, if only I have the means then I will definitely wrapped and pack a gift for you. I will just send it via DHL or LBC courier so you can received it quickly. Anyway, though you have not received any wrapped gifts, I believed God will send His angels to bring you a great and wonderful gift that is perfectly for you. Cheer up and have a great year ahead.

hello there Angel, maybe you can just put it this way, Christmas is Jesus' birthday, so maybe it would still be okey if you haven't received any gifts. because practically the one who is celebrating the birthday is the one who must receive a gift. but how can we give a gift to Jesus' when he is not with us? there are endless ways. a good deed is one. because anything we do to least of our brother we do do it also for Him. merry Christmas Angel and a happy new year.

You open my eyes to the truth , and that is very true. Maybe i am just so materially attached thats why wanting a gift . Yes if there is that one person who should demand for a gift , that would be Jesus Christ but no he doesn't do that . It now depends on how are we going to give back the things which Jesus have done to us. Let us give him a gift by loving our fellow man and ourself.

Perhaps buy yourself a Christmas gift. My husband and I decided not to exchange Christmas gifts. Instead we did a lot of Christmas experiences together, such as seeing the Christmas lights display in our city. We also went on a horse drawn carriage ride together, just before Christmas. I only give gifts to my children and my grown children give gifts to me and my husband. And perhaps I will give to a few friends who need a gift, not so much for the gift but they need encouraging and support. Every Christmas, I buy a gift for a needy child. This year I bought a pretty nightie for a teenage girl who lives in an orphanage. Perhaps you need to find someone who is willing to exchange Christmas gifts with you.

What you did is very admirable Zoe ! Hope all can do same so many young and innocent who will be happy . The smile on their faces is more than a million. Their smile lifts our soul also. A thing which money can't buy. Its okay to have no gift , so long as having good health , my special friend is with me that already completes my Christmas .

Gifts don't make Christmas merry , i guess it is our hearts that makes it merry . Our relationship to one another makes Christmas merry.

At this time in my life, cash is always a wonderful gift, as it's an understatement to say that I'm in dire financial straits at the moment. While I love a beautifully wrapped gift just as much as the next person, I would feel very gifted to receive all the honestly-gotten cash I can get whether in a fancy package, inside of a greeting card, handed to me in a plain envelope, or simply handed to me. I received several gifts this last Christmas in the form of greetings, good wishes, food, etc., but the very best gift I received was having my mom still here to celebrate Christmas with me (over the phone from the wonderful nursing home she's now in for rehab), as, just this last October, I almost lost her. It was also wonderful when my mom and I were able to hook up (three-way calling) with my oldest first-cousin, Carolyn, and hear her sounding so healthy and happy after she had been hospitalized with some follow-up at a nursing home due to having stage four pancreatic cancer. My "adopted" big sister, Pinky, had been getting some medical attention that was long overdue (heart-related) and was already starting to feel better than she had in years. She's continuing to get care for other health problems related to her eyes, ears, and teeth. Next Christmas will, likely, be one that will include some of our more traditional traditions such as decorating (though I did some decorating online), sending Christmas greetings, buying and receiving gifts, etc., but, this past Christmas was just perfect for where my mom and I happen to be in our lives--and she received several gifts, went to Christmas parties, etc. at her nursing home where they had, also, really gone all out to decorate the place, so it looked a lot more like Christmas where she's now at. But, even in my undecorated home (where I'm, currently, pretty much housebound), it definitely felt like Christmas!

So good to hear how you and your mom celebrated Christmas. There was really a bonding between a daughter and a mom. Wish all every day is a christmas day, so all would be happy .
