Do you believe that there are people out there who communicate with the dead....

Do you think that people even have that gift. I have been watching so many talk shows for the past couple of days and they bring on people who are known as mediums or just people who can talk to the dead and communicate with them that can bring messages to the people that have been left behind. I really don't believe in that, and I hate seeing things like this on tv where they are playing around with people's emotions saying oh they can communicate with a family member or a loved one who has passed on. I wish that these people would stop playing around with people's heads. But that is just me.
Do you believe that there are people out there that can communicate with people that have passed on. And if so why and if not, why not.
Have you talked to someone who claimed to be a medium and did they claim that they can communicate with your loved one that has passed on. Where they correct in everything that they have said or where they wrong.
I've never had someone say to me that they could communicate with someone that was in my family that has passed on and if they tell me that they could, I'd tell them I don't care and they should leave my family member alone and let them rest in peace. But I know they are resting in peace, and so I'd just leave.

I was surprised when I read your post because I had never thought of it in this way.I am not religious and have always been open-minded. I am a Yogi, and a spiritualist. My Mom passed over at age 94, and I knew she would be ok, but just wanted to check it out for myself. Upon retiring to bed one evening I held thoughts of her in my mind, and asked her to come to me in a dream. Several weeks passed, nothing happened, and then she came while I slept, and sat on my bed. She told me she was happy and in a good place. I made no attempt at conversation,because she had answered my questions, and I sent her my love in return. Later after my Father passed over he also came to me while I slept. This is very common to the open-minded, but those stressed by religious beliefs are less able communicate with their deceased relatives and friends.

There's a possibility that some people can to an extent. Most of the one's that are on TV are fakes. I heard from people that went to see a prominent one a few years ago that there were spies from the show on line with them. They pretended to be regular people who were there to see the show and would ask people who they were hoping to contact and get personal info. Then they would pass the info on to the medium who would miraculously know these things about them.
I also heard that the producers of the show LI Medium contact people who have lost someone (sometimes these are well known news stories) and make it look like she just shows up out of the blue and gives them readings.

I believe in ghosts because they're definitely real. Maybe everyone else on here doesn't, but they are. And some day, you might just meet one. And if ghosts are real, then why can't these 'mediums' be as well? It may not be the ones you see on TV, people may not know of these mediums. They probably don't want others to know who they are because they don't want to be seen as freaks. Who knows?
