I've been thinking about starting my own blog. Well actually I have a couple places I blog at but more what I mean, is that I want to create a blog solely for earning from ad impressions from. I have never done this before but I have an opportunity coming up soon to try it.
I don't know for sure what I will blog about yet. I could use some suggestions. If you have a blog that you earn from in this way, what has been your experience with it? I'm not going to be able to get the specific ad impression til after January 7th. Do you think I should start the blog now, as soon as possible, to hopefully get a few readers before then?
I really need some help with a good genre or topic that will be somewhat popular but also something I can write on.

Money always seems to be a good topic. That and weight loss. However, the best topic for you is probably what you know and enjoy. It's hard to write about things in which you have no interest.
Some people do well with blogging, but many do not. I think it depends on how hard you work at getting links to it and so on almost as much as the topic you blog about.

You're right, there is a lot of work that I will need to do not just what I write. I suppose I can also take this time to look around for ways to get traffic to it as well as a topic. I may also come to the conclusion I don't want to put in the effort too....

That's true, I wouldn't want to waste my time on it if - I don't enjoy it or don't think I can put in that much effort to keep it going..

Well that is sounding pretty good actually because I could get some referrals that way perhaps. It would be a matter of making it interesting which I think I could do because I enjoy earning online... I can get kind of animated as you've seen at times

I wish I could help you out but I can't, darn it. I know nothing about blogging. Years ago I wanted to do this too but never did. I didn't feel I had anything good to talk about but I think that was a mistake and I should have started one.
Some of the advice you're getting sounds good. I think I would start the blog now too and sort of get used to doing it. Then you could see what happens and as you keep doing it and reading it, you'll see what you want to change, etc. I say go for it.

I agree always try and make the attempt. You might not earn much but you will be richly rewarded with experience from your efforts. The more we do the more we learn!

Blogging is one the best way to make money online but it won't happen in over night. It will take at least 6 months to see revenue from your blog.
The topic can be about anything but should be a niche blog. Niche blog is something is at a fixed interest. If you are blogging about health then your blog should be only of health topic and not other topics like to make money online or internet.
Health , blogging , make money online and question answers are the by far best topics.

A small advice if you are serious about blogging and doesn't bother to take advices...
Get ready to face lot of spam comments - if your site as a decent traffic then you will have at least one spam comment per day. So make up mind to face anything which comes in your way.

That is true advice, I will remember that. I will need a blog interface that I can delete those spam comments and keep it up to date like that.

Good ideas, I am in this money making online for the long run. Six months would not be a large chunk of time to me, as of now. I think it would be well for me to do this but I just need a topic!

I have 2 blogs myself, I really dont earn from them. Sure wish I did. I had help setting them both up. I wish I really knew how to earn from them. Have a great weekend dear.

Hi!
I too have my own personal blog about my poems. But i do not get time to update it or be active on internet. And I suggest, if you are into blogging, you must really make it important that you be active, unlike me..

That is interesting, I did look it up with Swagbucks. It sounds as though some blogging platforms automatically do this for you. So, you may just want to check to see if the pinging is a tool or feature on the blogging interface that you decide to use.
Yes, it does sound like this tool helps to get your blog picked up by the search engines and your new posts to be updated in the search engines too! That is if I am correctly understanding the wikipedia article that I read.

When your blog is active you can get a ping service, some have it in there already that will let the search engines know the blog is updated.

Hi thank for posting this topic .I been thinking about
the same thing. after i work on making my grammer and spelling
better.but I do know blogging is still a story, I have not did anything on line
yet.but this is what I do if I have topic,say like food
I right down a outline on paper before I write my blog
do some research of the topic then write the blog.
this is helping my spelling then I go on line with it.

it is a great idea to blog about something you know, and enjoy, visitors are waiting for your blog to be helpful, clean, and visitor friendly. enjoy what you do first, i own a few blog and websites myself but i think about fun first, have a nice day.

Having fun is very important. After all, I do think it is the number one reason that we all enjoy myLot so much is that it feels more like playing than work. It is a good thing to have fun and enjoy blogging because sometimes it takes awhile to start earning from your blog. If you are having fun, you will enjoy blogging even if it takes some time for the traffic and earnings to start to pick up for your blog.

You definitely can earn blogging.But you have to do hard works for it.I mean to say that first you have to choose topics wisely you can write about,then drive traffic to your blog and then you can earn money through it.It's also some time-consuming way to earn money.But if you work hard and your blog becomes popular,then you can generate an income out of it.
