Marilyn Monroe is back in the news.

After 50 years the FBI is saying now that they think Marilyn and her husband Arthur Miller were Communists. They say this would explain why they were taking trips to Mexico all the time. Marilyn a communist? I'd rather believe the theory that she was killed by some of Kennedy's people because she knew too much. After fifty years why don't they just let her rest in peace? I loved her movies and respect her and what she must have been going through during the last months of her life. Your thoughts.

Based on what I've read, it appears that she was the target of someone who felt she knew too much; just who it was will be the cause of speculation for a long time. She ran with some people who had too much to keep quiet, and honestly-are Hollywood stars known for being quiet? I think that society just loves scandals, and this happens to be one. I doubt we'll ever hear the truth either.

Just like we won't know everything having to do with the JFK assassination, the REAL story behind Area 51, or what is behind The Bermuda Triangle. Sometimes I think a little mystery can be fun!

i love her also. i could never think anything bad about her. she was so sweet and caring from what i always heard from people. if miller was communist maybe that was the reason for their split.

I think she was easily lead too. Maybe it was the reason. Surely communists don't split though. Hmm.

Personally, I agree with you. Why can't they just let things lie, and quit the speculating all the time. Everyone I know feels it was the involvement with the Kennedy's that killed her, so why start something new? But this is not the first celebrity they have done this with, and probably far from the last as well. I guess they just run out of real things to talk about?

I agree 100%. I always thought she might have gotten info during "pillow talk" with John Kennedy.

I suppose if something factual came up I'd want to hear it, but not a lot of speculation.

You know I wasn't even born when she was famous, and I don't know all that much about her. I think that she was very eccentric for her time period, and that people didn't like that. I assume that the same people who call her a commie today are the ones who didn't like her eccentric lifestyle back then. I say let her rest in peace, and leave her name intact. Let her friends, family and fans remember her for who they knew her to be, and not something drudged up that may or may not be true.
