Shame - no one deserves bad luck, and I would call your incident an ACCIDENT, not 'bad luck' at all. Be careful next time and obey the traffic rules!

Why one has to blame one luck when it is purely ones mistake that have caused to be into into accident in this case. If he was careful while driving.riding then nothing would have happen to him and even his bad Luck would have not come into picture.

I will say other way round in this matter. You said that, you have \fallen down from your motorcycle because of your bad luck and breaking Traffic Rule.
But my friend I will say you have saved not getting damaged more because of your Good Luck.
Keep in mind when there is a Bad Luck in our Life there is always More power of Good Luck over it.

Not bad luck. Bad luck refers to something that was unforseen. That couldn't have been predicted. While it might not always happen, it could be predicted that motorcycles+rain=slip. Not obeying the rules would just add to the equation. It's an obvious and probable outcome.
But when things like this happen, whether it's luck or something we should have predicted, it always helps to look on the positive side. Think how much worse it could have been. You are able to write about it on MyLot. It's possible the accident could have been severe enough that you wouldn't be able to write. Or even remember the accident. You learned from the accident.
While I don't generally think I "deserve" bad luck, or anything negative, I've often used logic similar to this. Recently, I received a speeding ticket. Now I was quite sure, as was my passenger, that I was not speeding. I had just looked at my spedometer and set my cruise control 2 MPH under the speed limit. However, I also knew I had sped in this area in the past and not gotten caught. So I figured it all evened out in the end. I didn't try to fight it.

Hi StLouis,
before the accident happened, I felt like I would face an accident. but ddidn't know when and where.
I think my heart trying to warn me, but I couldn't avoid the accident when it happened. maybe that is why I considered it as a bad luck, tough I knew it would happened, but I can not prevent it
I had driven carefully when it was raining cause I knew there is a chance of being slipped
sorry for that speed ticket

Look at things positively, it brightens up most situations in doing so. There must have been some pro's about your incident somewhere somehow. But if there is one thing that is for sure, it is that we all get what we deserve.

It is not "bad luck", I always see it like it's your fault. If a parrot "does it's needs" over you, your fault for standing in that place. Got late by a minute? your fault by not getting there earlier. I am really fond of Sartre in that sense...

Hi ifa
Well, before 2008, I was quite much into bad luck thing and took everything to be my bad luck. Today, I am more positive, and always think that it is my good luck that the thing happened and I got away with less of pain and suffering.
The accident could have been worse but it is my good luck that you only slipped and nothing bad happened, otherwise accidents could be more severe.
Now you would think, why is it my good luck?
Of course it is, if it wasnt my good luck, you wouldnt have been here and I would have missed meeting a good friend of mine here at Mylot

I don't think anybody deserves bad things to happen to them because I don't believe in bad luck. If bad things happen to us is because sometimes we allow them to enter into our lives. For example, if it is snowing out side and the temperatures are below freezing and you decide to drive like a freaking maniac, guess what? You just increased your chances of getting into an accident. Another example, spending more money than you should and you end up getting fired. Life is how you make it.

Is it bad luck you fall from your motorcycle? I think it's more about not sticking to the rules. Bad luck is something else. BTW bad luck is seldom that bad, there is always something good in it if you are able to see it. Sounds to me you had to learn a lesson.. wonder how long it will take till you ignore the rules again (since this is a human thing as well). Could say my whole life is bad luck, but think it made me way stronger plus I don't believe people that easily anymore which worked out fine with me. Way less abusers I attract (must say: not any anymore)
