The gang-raped girl has ultimately succumbed to the injuries inflicted to her during that brutal rape in Delhi which has created turmoil throughout the country. The girl fought a glorious battle for survival for 13 long days but all her efforts went in vain. Let’s mourn for her and at the same time take the oath that henceforth, we, the common people, should leave no stone unturned to compel the government to take strong action against those brutal rapists and until this is done the movement should go on. The government must answer what steps so far it has taken against the rapists as rape is not alien to India? How many more rapes the nation need to wake up?

One rape happens in every 1/2 an hour and most of the time the rapist belongs to family. Most of the cases do not get fied because of the many reasons. I do not think change in punishment make any difference hanging is punishment for murder but still murder happens. It will only change will happen when every one learomn "we should respect women" and should be started from the every hom

There have been alot of rapes in the US too. I would be curious as to how India does handle this and what their actual priorities are.

Every other day, we see so many rape cases in the paper and most of the time the victims are low caste/poor people/ etc. The government should make an example out of this present Delhi GRape case and Make other males aware that No force/Rape/molestation culprits will be let go free either with political influence or power or money. Stringent punishment should be immediately given to the shameless culprits.

This will never end. World wide children/girls/boys/women are raped. Police officers don't take them serious at all, nor is the court. Even other women blame women if it comes to it. This will only stop if there is a punishment for it. A good one like castration! Since prison won't help although... rapist and children/women molestors are not the most favorite people in (western) prisons!
