qualities of a good talk show host....

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well it is great to know ab out your new venture and i hope that u succeed in that. I have anchored many stage shows and i know it is very tough to anchor on stage and on screen. I think one should be stable, sound and mentally strong. Besides if your show is based on societal issues then the anchor must be having a good knowledge over various issues. What say?

You will need some one that can speak very good. A person that get along well, with you and makes you your best and you make them there best. Somebody that can relate to the poor people that are the ones that watch the show. Give out ideas to for food and things everyone can relate to. And don't just pick someone because they are skinny a bigger person mite do a better job as well. Most shows have skinny people maybe a bigger person people can relate to. Look how Opera started out. And they need to be able to laugh. Have a good day. Sorry got kind of carried away.

Obviously excellent listening skills is of great importance for any talk show host, someone who is not full of themselves and gives the guests a chance to talk without talking over them. I can't stand a host that loves the sound of his own voice to the detriment of the guest stars. A warm persona and someone who is well dressed would be the qualities needed.
