I still haven't visited so to me it's still a place of interest to go and see and i enjoy watching documentaries on them. I still think they hold interest and mystery. Tourists might have just been avoiding due to lack of money and what had been happening in Egypt. I'll still go one day

Definitely. I've always had a wish to visit them. Ancient Egypt was one on my favourite topics since I was a kid. But then, I do have this feeling that the magic would be lost if I did see them in reality. (I still imagine them with the pharaohs and the ancient people with the old dresses, and the mummies to be utterly lifelike, as if they've only fallen asleep. I know this is not the reality. :D)
But I still think that many people do retain interest in them. But the amount of visitors may have lessened due to the situation in that country and the economic situation of the world today.

I do find them interesting, I always watch whatever program I can on the subject and others of that kind. I find it truly amazing how these could have been built and so many others all over the earth from the same time periods, how did they know, how is it possible? I don't think the people have lost interest, I just think in these days we are in there are more ways to get the information and see these wondrous things. But if I had the money I would love to see them in person.

I have always had an interest in going to Egypt to see the pyramids at one time. Although they still hold alot of my interest and I enjoy watching documentires on them, I don't think I would want to visit them with all of the unrest in that country now.

Yes,Many still find ancient legend and facts of Pyramids interesting. It was an era of majestic ,royalty. The creation of pyramids, the customs, the gold the rituals are all sources of information that has been discovered and rediscovered, over the course of time. There ,are numerous books, video, archives and extensive research that will continue to fascinate the minds of many in years yet to come. The museums do a fabulous job of displaying exhibits or rarities that have a significant place in history.

People do still take interest in Egypt and the Pyramids. However, thanks to numerous Travel channels, and shows as well as magazine and News articles, I think the level of interest would not be the same as it used to be during 1970's and 1980's. It would be lesser than what it was then.

Hi delbint: Definitely yes, they are still interesting. I mean, if I'd have the chance to visit Egypt I would try to come and see the pyramids without a doubt. They are full of history and they are not only awesome to see but I'd like to learn a little bit more of their history.

Definitely they're still interesting. Did you know that the Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest man made structure for over 3,800 years reaching 481 feet? Over 2.3 million limestone blocks were used in it's construction. The Grand Gallery, the Queen's Chamber, and the King's Chamber are architectural masterpieces that are still mysteries of construction.

Pyramid is a very old structure, it will always arouse interest among some historians and old tourists and scholars. I personally don't think it is a very magnificent and grand building. The engineering applied in building the pyramid may look quite impressive at that time and still worth to take a look by some civil engineering students. Because it is one of a few big structures left by Pharoh kingdom in Egypt, one will always think it is worht a tour during his visit to that country, even though it is not much exciting anymore since many of the mystery inside the pyramid had been uncovered by archeologist.

They would always be interesting to those who love ancient history. I love ancient Egypt. If people took some time and learn new things, they would be surprised. Not to mention, if people stopped saying that Egypt is a dangerous place to travel, and get their facts straight, Egypt would have many more tourists. This is just my personal opinion. The pyramids would always be one of the greatest wonders in the world.

Th pyramids intrigue me much. As Christians, we believe that they were built by the Israelis during their captivity in Egypt but I have come over articles over and over saying that there are no historical facts supporting the Biblical accounts from the slavery to the Exodus.
